The Eclectic Beings. A phrase immediately provoking sensory stimulation; one might be quickly swept into some vivid imagery that may embody the meaning behind such nomenclature. Perhaps a vision of an intergalactic peoples, celestial in nature and adorned in the brilliance of a tactile spectrum. A most suited name to the intensely musical Los Angeles bred duo:  Steven C. Martin and A.J. Boatwright, both trained and tremendously talented artists in their own right. Steven, an accomplished keyboardist, drummer and percussionist and A.J. a lauded drummer and DJ. The self-appointed title not only describes who they are as musicians, and the sound they craft, but also the type of people they incite with their music: diverse, open-minded and optimistic.

In a similar vein to artists such as Jazzanova, Little Dragon, Prince, and J*Davey; their music is simultaneously vintage, modern and futuristic. With not so subtle hints of 70’s funk, dominating 80’s synths, and modern electronic sounds; the duo has given genesis to an unconventional fusion. A sound that is withstanding, has vast appeal and is highly malleable to the evolution of music.

Grey plays the drums and Flint sings and plays guitar. We'd like to play music fahr ya and hope to see you shimmy up each other's legs like a cat trying to make its way up a greased pole. Chances are, we may yell at you, and laugh at you too, but this is sent forth into your ear pussies as an invitation to a thanksgiving feast of, as they say, ham-bamblin' fine-jive.

Preface: 
Thru the darkness and the enlightenment this project has come forth into a manifested reality. Like water breaking in the womb, life was created. Just when all the tension reached a boiling point, beauty surfaced. Similar to the evolution of man this project too had to evolve in order to survive. We had to take baby steps to get to the point of maturity we have been blessed to reach. Knowledge was attracted our way and Wisdom is close enough to touch. Success is what we strive for and we are confident enough to say we will gain the success we always dreamed of based on the strength and purity of this project. So we now feel we are ready to introduce the world to our project. We went thru somethings to get here. It wasn't all easy. All of it took hard-work. Some of it was fun. Some of it was frustrating and beyond our control. This Hip-Hop thing isn't all fun and games. We take ourselves seriously. We do this to reach the masses with truth, strength, knowledge of self, warmth, etc. We are able to take notice that we are forever blessed to have accomplished such a feat. When you begin to look at the cycle of life and realize how easy it is to survive and how easy it is to die no matter what the environment is, you begin to appreciate your own existence more and more each day. Only when you can get to this point of self-awareness and break-thru and find 'self' will you be able to understand where we are coming from. Then, maybe you can open up your hearts and minds and invite us in to your soul thru way of our music. Due to our ethnicities and backgrounds we never will let anything get in our way. We've been thru the struggle. The struggle of growing up in the hood. The struggle of politics and authority. The struggle of being different. But most importantly the struggle we created in our own minds. We let these devils fool us for too long. We will always overcome... With that being said please enjoy our album "Human Beings". Self-Made... Human Beings...
