Hello, I'm David Alimi and I'm a EDM producer working under the alias New Trends. I been a huge fan of EDM for many years, so I've decided to start producing music of my own. One artist that has had a major influence on me is Todd Edwards. His cut-up style is a direction I want to experiment with, not just with vocals but instruments as well. This is why I'm starting The New Trends Project. The goal with this project is to create "new trends" in the kind of sounds we hear in EDM, taking vocals and instruments beyond their limits to inspire a new generation. Music tends to get stereotyped based on the culture and background it comes from. I am seeking to change that with The New Trends Project. My sound will include everything, and no two tracks will sound alike. Since I'm following in the footsteps of Todd Edwards, my primary genre will by UK Garage or Garage House as it is known here in the US. Just as a note, this is my first time producing, so I am open to any kind of criticism; feel to provide some feedback in the comments. Thanks for taking time to view my page. Born in Nottingham and now based in East London, Beaabea has been making her mark in recent years. With her fusion of bass-heavy grooves and high-energy percussion, she is quickly establishing herself as a standout artist and earning recognition from institutions such as DJ Mag, who featured her as one of their Emerging Artists of 2025.

Her tracks have caught the attention of key tastemakers like Jaguar and Martha on BBC Radio 1, with releases including her debut single 'Pixelate' on EMA’s label Woozy, 'Constants' on Amity, and in October 2025, her debut EP 'Chrome Abyss', also on Amity. 'Chrome Abyss' has received widespread acclaim, with Mixmag naming it one of the best Albums/EPs of 2025.

She’s played across the UK and Europe, with appearances at FOLD, Phonox, Corsica Studios, MOT, and more.

In addition to her individual work, Beaabea is also the founder of 'How Did It Get So Late?' (HDIGSL?) – an event series and radio show platforming FLINTA* DJs. The project reflects her ongoing commitment to pushing for greater representation in electronic music.
