Feral Ghoul Fall #4 - Modern Postpunk

Motorflavio @motorflavio 💣is the distorted reflection of a brutalist, polluted, and unequal São Paulo — a landscape that shaped the musical sensibility of Flavio D in the 1980s and 1990s.

Under family influences, he immersed himself early in the gothic subculture and was soon consumed by Death and Black Metal — sonic encounters that would forever define his artistic identity.

The heavy aesthetics, hostile environments, and extreme soundscapes led him to his first DJ sets during the rise of Electroclash clubs and Trance raves in the 2000s — always in marginal, private spaces, far from the mainstream.

His selection distills decades of Old School Industrial music, flirting with Dark Electro, EBM, and Harsh Noise — with the weight of someone who lives counterculture, not just consumes it. With over a decade as a regular at the wildest nights of Berlin, Brussels, Budapest, and Paris, his sets reflect a blend of mechanical textures, distorted vocals, and dissonances.

Beyond his solo work, he is also one half of the duo @TooDeadToDie, focused on Industrial Goth, and the founder of the collective @BringBackElektro, which revives and updates the codes of 1990s and 2000s dark electronic music.

He has performed at festivals like Summer Breeze and iconic parties such as Tarja Preta, Darkosa, Body Kvlt, D.A.N.C.E., Eclipse Fest, Baile Profano, Fronte, Onda Escura, Tiny Bar, Pantera, and Electric Club, sharing stages with artists like Sarin, Yami Spechie, Melanie Havens, Silenzo, Tegron, Bárbara Dunkel and Lilith.

Egzotikka – Linijos is an 8-track post-punk album recorded between 2023–2025 by label boss Osvaldas in his former studio based in London. Built around Fender guitar and bass, backed by hardware synths like the Yamaha DX7 and Korg Poly-800, classic ’80s drum machines including the Yamaha RX15.
The album draws on cold textures and sharp minimalism, with lyrics and vocals tearing in to love, hate, substance abuse, sarcasm, bipolar states, and self-destructive achievements.
Raw, ironic, and unapologetically personal.

Black Dot duo returns to Kri Records with six tracks ranging from EBM club domination to electro after-hours relaxation. Duo's signature futuristic melancholia on Lust EP is laced with melodic synth lines, a haunting Slavic vocal, and spiced with club-ready remixes by Innershades and Charlie.

Both CDG Rouge tracks feature duo's trademark mesmerizing electro mood that works both, on the dancefloor and the Autobahn. The darkly playful atmosphere and lyrics might evoke a memory of early Miss Kittin and The Hacker collaborations. The Innershades remix sees the Belgian producer at his top New Beat game, while Charlie reworked the sleazy No Harm Lust into a leather ripper. AI Climax is a self-explanatory EBM club stomper, while What Will It Be Boy rounds the release with a cheeky nod to the 80s.

Christian Kroupa & Le Chocolat Noir (Black Dot) return to Kri 3 years after their debut, picking up the thread where it all began. Since their first release, and outings on Mechatronica and Italo Moderni in between, the duo continues to refine their stripped, nocturnal electro sound — sharp, eclectic, and built for late hours.

EN: QMAR is formed by Paula Rebellato (Rakta, Madrugada) and Cacá Amaral (Rumbo Reverso, ex-Firefriend). The project unites two active trajectories in the experimental scene of São Paulo in a collaboration that explores song, improvisation, and electronic textures, balancing rhythmic and vocal architecture.

Born from encounters guided by free improvisation, QMAR consolidates its own language based on aesthetic convergence and shared research of timbres between both musicians.

The debut album, "Orações Oferecidas a Estranhos" (Prayers Offered to Strangers), was recorded and produced by the duo themselves in their home studio in mid-2025. Post-production work was finalized at Estúdio El Rocha, with mixing and mastering by Fernando Sanchez. The project's visual identity features artwork by Acauã Novais and photography by Rodrigo Fonseca.

PREMIERE CDL || QMAR - Espírito Espião |Self Released| 2026

Nghtly, Asymetric80, WLDV, Ottoman Grüw, Carmilla Sioux, Nightcrawler & Newborn Ghost, Alpha Sect, and Delectro (in tracklist order) make up the artistic lineup that brings to life the first volume of Inferno. These are established names whose work, rooted in industrial, darkwave, and contemporary EBM, perfectly illustrates the sonic identity of the Catalan label From Hell to Disco. Led by Carmilla Sioux, this project, despite being only a few months old, already demonstrates a solid and well-defined direction. Inferno Vol. 1 also marks the label's debut on vinyl, reaffirming its commitment to physical formats.

The compilation opens with "Welcome To The Timeless Era" by Italian producer Nghtly, a track where the punch of the percussion and a hypnotic arpeggio impose themselves over layers of whispered vocals, creating an atmosphere as dense as it is danceable. It is followed by "Ashes on the Body" by Asymetric80, a piece that masterfully navigates between contemporary EBM and the nostalgia of new beat, sustained by deep bass, hypnotic sequences, and direct percussion. Meanwhile, "Nothing But Fear" by WLDV presents itself as an exercise in tension and rupture, as what begins as a restrained groove, where austere percussion and synthetic lines play with minimalism, abruptly mutates midway through when the kick drum's impact takes on a force close to hardcore. Closing Side A, "L'âme se dilue" by Ottoman Grüw delivers a dose of emotional rawness without sacrificing rhythmic pulse, featuring a syncopated beat and a harsh production that draws from both raw industrial and contemporary EBM, successfully immersing the listener in a harrowing and ritualistic sonic experience.

The opening of Side B with Carmilla Sioux's "If You Dare, I Burn" is abrasive, an intimidating sonic proposition given the energy imposed by the dry, direct kick drum from the very first hit, with a mechanized pulse over which two melodic lines, inhabiting opposite frequencies, are layered in constant friction. "Incubator" emerges from the collaboration between Nightcrawler and Newborn Ghost, revealing itself as one of the most balanced tracks on the volume; the distinctive punch of the Catalan producer intertwines with the sensitivity of the vocals and melodically sinister details. With "Spirals," Alpha Sect plays with the listener's expectation, starting on a broken rhythm until it converges into a firm and overwhelming binary cadence, but it is the richness and combination of the arpeggiated lines that give it an unrelenting character. Delectro closes the compilation with "Silent Suffering," a dark techno track, relentless from the very first second, with a structure built upon a monolithic rhythmic foundation and a hypnotic, absorbing harmonic conjugation.
