Rising star @MPH-uk hits @NightBassRecords at full speed with his stellar 5-track ‘Nova’ EP. Effervescent padlines kick things off in ‘Famous’ with an impeccable flow from @PVCukmusic over a wicked low-end bassline, fortified by breakbeat arrangements that build anticipation into the next track ‘Useless’ where simple chord progressions melt harmoniously into notes of funk and soul. MPH’s trademark of blending a nice groove with bass heavy sounds comes through in ‘Deja Vu’ with the groovy soundscape following suit in ridiculously smooth title track ‘Nova’, a deeply satisfying garage number whose blissful resonance serenades you into the final track ‘Bus’, a classic cut of UK bass and grime to round off this incredible package.

It’s here, the long-awaited 12 inch from your local dub Doctor. Original Pirate Material is the new limited run vinyl project from ec2a. The first in a new series set to showcase the deepest and darkest sounds of UK Bass. A nod to those noughtie(s) Thursday nights at London institution Plastic People.

Volume one sees OG pirate Main Phase deliver in signature style with a rudeboi Ragga 2-Step number. Bluetoof follows up his recent double dub delivery with SW17, a deep garage groover fit for the pending summer sunsets and Sunday roll-throughs. The B side sees Ollie Rant team up with Takjacob for 4 minutes of bass weight badness, whilst DJ Crisps goes dutch with the junglist 'Massive'!
