Whats next? Stride Recordings on a new flex! Rene LaVice and Schematic have proven to be two of the most promising new producers in Canada and it is no surprise that when these two got in the studio together, the result would be one of the finest releases thus far on the stride recordings imprint. This single rounds out a wide spectrum of releases on the label with two dark and gritty neurofunk rollers not unlike the works of Spor and Noisia.
'Group Sex' begins with an eerie silence and undertones of something big on its way. A wall of dirtiness hits hard with distorted Gangster hip hop samples that complement a punchy crisp drum loop, gut wrenching synths and growling bass you can feel in your chest.
on the flip side Schematic offers up an original sound by combining dark gritty drum and bass with soul and funk in this tune titled 'Fiction'. the progression is smooth and the quality is beautiful. We should expect nothing less from this impeccable mastering engineer.
