The Talking Heads has always been one of my favorite bands and Once in a Lifetime has been my favorite Talking Heads track. The groove of this tracks, the lyrics and the fantastic vocals of David Byrne, it's all just amazing. Since I also really love progressive house music, I have tried, respectfully, to bring these two worlds together in this unofficial remix. So here we are the final month of 2016 a year that has come and gone it seems in the blink of an eye, many aspects have been pretty dark and tragic but with music you can escape all of that for a short time whatever genre tickles your fancy. The term "music is the answer" rings so true to so many and will continue to do so. Now when the time came to put strippedcast 013 together it was always going to be a marathon session to sign off the year with as I had so many tracks that I wanted to include. It's could have gone on for an extra couple of hours easily but five hours seemed long enough. This is the longest mix I've ever recorded if my memory serves me right 5 hours, 50 tracks, 0-120.81bpm inspired by my somewhat nomadic existence especially the last eighteen months. Proton Music  have been onto me constantly for some months now to move these mixes over to Proton Radio finally I agreed and with that they premiered this mix on November 30,2016 in its entirety. Later the same day Dna Radio FM again aired the mix.

So after an eight-month absence this strippedcast is the first of 2017 completely and utterly influenced by my travels over the last nine months and some of the great places I've been lucky enough to play up until now in Mexico, Malsysia, Thailand, USA and Jamacia special mentions to Brett Rubin​ who mastered the mix for me and gave me space in his studio on Sunday night for me to out this mix together which clocks in at 3hrs 21mins. Initially this was supposed to be recorded last week at Native Alien's "Contact" weekender out in Californian desert 🌵, but due to a technical hitch that wasn't to be so this mix is for the #NativeAlienContact family. I sincerely hope you enjoy and share this mix. Feedback good or bad would be appreciated.
