"I got asked to contribute a live mix for a local techno-podcast in 2021, but I didn't really feel it. So I wanted to troll them by just giving a mix of improvised harsh noise. In the end I liked it so much, that I decided to release it. Here it is. Happy Birthday!"

Wie verarbeiten Künstlerinnen und Künstler die Möglichkeiten und Herausforderungen ständig weiterentwickelter Technologien und die daraus resultierenden Auswirkungen auf die Gesellschaft? 
Das Festival BLAUES RAUSCHEN will ab 25. September die im Hinblick auf diese Fragestellung ausgewählten Performances und Installationen nicht nur einem interessierten Konzertpublikum präsentieren, sondern damit auch Impulse in die junge, aufstrebende Szene von Komponist*innen, Musiker*innen, Klangforscher*innen oder Sound-Designer*innen der Region aussenden. 

Es gibt im Ruhrgebiet mittlerweile eine Reihe von Möglichkeiten, in diesen Bereichen auch akademisch unterwegs zu sein. Die Universitäten und Fachhochschulen der Region bieten dazu unterschiedliche Studiengänge an. Zu drei dieser Optionen an unterschiedlichen Orten haben wir jeweils eine/n Studierende/n befragt.

@TimPauli is an Essen-based programmer and composer who is active in the fields of sound and video art as well as performance. Tim’s multidisciplinary artistic work reflects his deep interest in computer-generated structures, the aesthetics of failure and remix, the corporeality of electronic music, and the dissolution of the distinction between high and low culture. Currently he is pursuing a degree in electronic composition at the Folkwang University of Arts.

To cover up this massive theft, Adele and I try to distract your attention by offering counterfeits of familiar musical brands and making the piano sing karaoke... Will we get away with it?
