Title: CYSP - S/T (LP)

A mysterious musical outfit said to be consisting of two Swedes with affinity for frog-esque sounds and post-trance aesthetics makes out what is CYSP. CYSP is also an acronym of CYbernetic SPatiodynamic, aka the first spatio-dynamic sculpture, having total autonomy of movement as well as axial and eccentric rotation. The sculpture is celebrated as an early work of cybernetic character that made it into the world of art. Now how do these two phenomena relate to each other? I have no clue..

This sounds like it could have been crafted in an eerie barn in the remote countryside, serving as a never-released soundtrack to an occult underground 90's film about urban trolls - it also sounds like it could be glued-together cassette scraps laying around Richard H Kirk's studio.

Laden with an almost grotesque amount of soundscaping, synthesized quirks and sonic riddles that would positively provoke any attentive listener (dancer?), it’s still weirdly danceable in the most head banging sense of the word. While pulling from the past - and meta-versically - the past’s image of the future, this is highly contemporary music - smart and stupid, deep and shallow - physical and cybernetic.

Rizmi invites Alliyah Enyo for this months Healing futures show 

 Alliyah Enyo’s interdisciplinary vice gravitates towards èmbodied and meditative processes. Believing frequencies in sound are healing, she harnesses ritualisation to create sonorous myth' installations and performances. Her process involves designing, recording, antarchiving sound. Using field recordings like archacologicat objects, memories are preserved and discovered throughout her soundscapes, echoing and resonating, reflecting her interest in 'echoic memory:
The work exists as a mythologisation' of her emotional landscape, embedding ancient stories into emotional layers that are slowly revealed. Woven soundscapes are multilayered as if growing, crafted through her use of analogue hardware.

Vancouver, B.C.’s wzrdryAV studied granular synthesis in the 1990s with one of its pioneers, Barry Truax, at Simon Fraser University, and continues to endlessly search for new ways to apply the technique. It’s an experiment that never ends... chasing tones, textures and atmospheres, while making use of a range of source materials and tools: microphones, records, synthesizers, samplers, software & movies. A frequent collaborator with Seekersinternational—many of their joint effort releases are available on the Wzrdry Recordings Bandcamp page along with solo wzrdryAV works. This exclusive mix for the Deep Breakfast series features unreleased material of yesteryear along with a series of current studio sound snapshots from 2019.
