Ode To A Savage

The drumfunk champion is back with his latest explosion of drums. He turns his drums back to the atmospheric side of sounds starting with the opener 'Alpine' with intricate break-work, hard-hitting bass stabs juxtaposed with sublime Jazz licks. Rapport starts with haunting pads before his trademark breaks twist and turn into a hundred patterns as ethereal piano twinkle gracefully in and out. The title track hits the listener next; a high-octane ride into chopped breaks, heavenly strings and opulent piano melodics before the EP ends on the beautiful 'Set Free' as the hard rhythms delicately face off with chilled out pads and rhodes and infectious vocals to complete this latest set of drumfunk paradise.
