Evod joins for DifferentSound Podcast #190.

Alessandro Russo known as Evod, son of art, approached music at the age of 11, listening to Techno made in usa; Detroit Techno. Over the years he has played and published under various pseudonyms, but in 2015 he defined his artistic personality with a unique alias: Evod, the same name of his label. He has also published on Float Records and Singular Records. His mainly vinyl sets are characterized by strong and deep sounds, influenced by ambient sounds. The best known points of his career are his debut at Tresor (Berlin) and having joined with Jeff Mills, as his idol and source of inspiration. Defined as a new generation creator in Italy, his artistic evolution continues today.

DifferentSound invites Evod / Podcast #190

Irazu encontró en la música electrónica una vía de autodescubrimiento. Comenzó como promotor de fiestas y, tiempo después, se volcó en la producción musical para expresar su visión del techno.

Kastil le muestra al mundo los primeros trabajos de Irazu con su sello "Stale", lo que lleva a crear una serie de discos con colaboradores del nivel de  Regis, Pessimist, Acronym o el propio Kastil. 

En 2022, profundizó en sonidos melancólicos e internos  con su primer álbum, "Anything Exist Anymore", editado en Semántica, un lugar donde siempre quiso ver su música, el verdadero sitio donde dar vida a un trabajo como ese. Su siguiente trabajo se transformó en un segundo álbum con el polémico título "Self-Medicating" en Warm Up Recordings en 2023, siendo su obra más oscura, directa, áspera y empapada de tensión. 

Influenciado por artistas como Regis, Autechre, T++, Surgeon, Reeko, y las bandas que han perfilado su actitud como The Birthday Party, Swans, Coil, Sunn O))), Current 93 o Whitehouse, Irazu define su música como un espacio íntimo entre la tensión y la tranquilidad, para los que eligen el camino de sentir a cualquier precio.

Music producer, live act performer and DJ from Krakow, Poland. Formely known for DCM and Peter Feegle projects, since 2014 Piotr performs under his own name, focusing his work mostly on techno, IDM and playing hardware based live acts. His music has always been an eclectic mixture of different influences, original sound design and great sound. Piotr’s work has been released on many Polish and international labels and among many dj and live act club gigs, Piotr also performed at Street Art Festival, Ars Cameralis Festival, Tauron Nowa Muzyka festival and in 2017 Piotr was honoured to play on the legendary Instytut festival in Warsaw. Piotr has been hosting the 'Essentia Electronica' radio show at Off Radio Krakow station in 2015-2021. The show became one of the most important promotion hubs for the local electronic music scene, artists, collectives and clubs in Krakow. In 2021 Piotr started a new venture, record label Rwetes. Apart from the solo music activity, Piotr teams up with Dominik Gawroński, creating @krakowitz - nostalgic, synthesizer-based, melodic music project. Piotr also works as a producer, mixing and mastering engineer, helping many artists to achieve the dreamed sound of their records.

Fast mixing techniques and a taste for groovy, sexy and dangerous records, especially from the 90s, have given him a strong reputation within the techno community and have earned him a position as a steady player in the Amsterdam scene.

For episode 25 of Structure Series Invites, we have the Co-founder, Curator and Resident of FOLD. Founder of FOLD Records and founder of IMPRFCT. Records - VOICEDRONE. 

Lasha Jorjoliani is an often unreadable enigma, lending much of his time to his studio, curating line-ups and sharpening his performances in the booth. Although an undeniable figurehead of the scene, Voicedrone is by no means explicitly tied to co-founding FOLD. 

Four years on, Lasha is in an indestructible one-way lane, having developed a graphic, dynamic sound that we come together to experience. At his core is a passion to create and nurture community; this purpose is channelled into every event he plays - here at home, in Europe and beyond. Playing at influential venues and parties including his beloved UNFOLD has preserved his significance in the underground scene and his constant admiration from the FOLD family.

The phrase “leading by example” may be somewhat overused, but in the case of Voicedrone, such a statement is entirely appropriate.
