Structure Series Invites 005 - Fergus Sweetland

Episode 29 brings you an incredible producer and DJ and of course a very good friend of Structure - Atibo.

London-based techno producer from Granada, Spain. His passion for electronic music began in Nerja, where he and his friends hosted private gatherings on hidden beaches, playing drum and bass as an escape from the mainstream sounds of the local clubs. This early immersion in underground music sparked his lifelong connection to electronic sounds.

After moving to London in 2008, Atibo discovered the 4-on-the-floor rhythm through a performance by Sven Väth. This moment set him on a journey of musical exploration, leading him to fully embrace techno by 2012.

Atibo’s sound blends deep, hypnotic techno with a focus on mood and atmosphere. His tracks are shaped by layered textures, created through the use of field recordings, analog synths, and VSTs, which contribute to the organic depth and melodic richness of his music. Influenced by labels like Hypnos Records and Non Series, as well as artists such as Luigi Tozzi, Feral, Svarog, and Psyk, Atibo explores both the emotional and immersive qualities of techno.

As the founder of Ecstasy State, a label he has been developing for over seven years, Atibo is dedicated to its growth while also continuing to focus on his own releases. In the future, he hopes to explore new directions within his sound and further expand his creative vision.

Whether through his productions or live DJ sets, Atibo creates an immersive journey for his listeners. His aim is simple: to craft experiences that allow the audience to get lost in the music, making each performance unforgettable.
