Rootikal's David Hill and Ashley Beedle travel back in time to the post-ska, rocksteady sounds from the long hot summer of '67 with their mix of Cornell Campbell's 'There's A Fire.' 

Utilizing The Soothsayers' horns parts from the original album cut (on Cornell Campbell meets Soothsayers <i>Nothing Can Stop Us Now</i> on Strut), and of course the wonderful lead vocals, Rootikal deliver an authentic slice of vintage Jamaican lawn-dance music.

Think Studio One and Treasure Isle – glorious, bumping, soul-drenched tunes from the likes Slim Smith, Alton Ellis and Phyllis Dillon, and you won't be far off.

Scheduled for release in October on a Strut 45, which will also carry the version.
