We are sad, that Alex Chilton died. This is a track, that we recorded in his kitchen 1993 in New Orleans. 
  Alex Chilton is playing the drums on it. The title of the song means: "I just came to say to you that I'm leaving". It was  released on the 1. StereoTotal EP called: "ALLO....J'ECOUTE..." (Desert Records) - Not available anymore!!!

Following an incredible year, Jane Weaver returns with indie store exclusive 7” ‘The Lightning Back’ on April 6th 2018. 

Widely considered the standout protonic pop song from Jane Weaver's unanimously revered Modern Kosmology, The Lightning Back sees the meteoric collision of micro-chip modulations and homespun harmonies courtesy of a self-sufficient artist who has in recent years become regarded as one of the countries finest in the field.  

This 3.5 minute pocket-pop implosion fuses subtle patch-bay arpeggios evoking the stylings of Wendy Carlos and (previous collaborator) Suzanne Ciani providing a deftly constructed framework for Weavers songwriting talents. Celebrating the intimacy and inhibition-free methodology found in her solo-power approach, The Lightning Back hears Jane's yearning lyricism rise through unique agile melodics seldom found in synthesised pop music.

This limited vinyl single also comprises a B-side in the form of a remix from London based art-noise-jazz-rock supergruppen Sex Swing.
Jane Weaver will be heading out on the road with her band across Europe from February 16th opening for Belle and Sebastian on a select number of tour dates. In the UK, she’ll also be touring with Public Service Broadcasting throughout April along with festival appearances at Greenman, Camp Bestival, Focus Wales and Halfway (Poland).

A beautiful thing happened when Asthmatic Kitty artists Helado Negro and Julianna Barwick first met: they got to know each other. The result, a new collaborative band, OMBRE, and a brand-new full-length record, Believe You Me.

Borghesia is an electronic music group, founded in 1982 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The band  was formed by four members of alternative theatrical group Theatre FV-112/15: Dario Seraval, Aldo Ivancic, Neven Korda and Zemira Alajbegovic. They established FV Video to self-publish their video projects and FV Založba – the first independent record label in ex-Yugoslavia. Aldo and Dario took care of songwriting, production and recording while Zemira and Neven handled the visuals. In the late 80s the band signed to PIAS and went on to release a string of successful albums and played world-wide tours. 
"Clones" was Borghesia's second album, self-released on cassette only in 1984. The band borrowed synthesizers (Roland SH-101, Casio VL-1, Korg Polysix) and a Roland 808 drum machine from friends. Every song was played live - no overdubs - and recorded to a cassette deck over a few nights at their club Disco FV during 1983-1984. The music on "Clones" is meant to accompany various video installations and performances. All of the songs are instrumental and feature various cutting edge techniques for 1983. Hypnotic, proto-techno and acid rhythms and synth lines. Music on the A Side of the LP is faster and club oriented while the B Side offers a drugged out soundtrack to get lost in. 
All songs have been remastered for vinyl by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley directly from the original master tape. Each LP is housed in a silver jacket with original gelatin print by photographer Jane Štravs. A fold-out poster is included with unreleased photos, original artwork and liner notes by the band. After 28 years, Borghesia's "music for video" is finally appearing on vinyl for the first time.

A sound experiment of mine.
Dear colleague Manuel Eisl lent me his contact microphone and i went on a hunt for sounds....

Here you can hear a boiler, static from a TV, a camera shutter, a water faucet, a clock, and my own heartbeat (kick and snare).

This was a quick test, if i could modify and combine those sound into something musical.
Especially transforming my own heartbeat to the 'beat' was something i always wanted to do.

Frankie Rose has forged an enviable musical legacy, from playing with bands like Crystal Stilts and The Vivian Girls during the heyday of the late 00s Brooklyn indie scene to releasing influential solo albums like "Interstellar" and "Cage Tropical." Synthesizing wide-ranging influences, she's crafted a very distinctive and original musical voice that echoes some of the best post-punk, new wave and 80s pop while still sounding totally fresh. It was in this spirit that Frankie covered in its entirety The Cure's classic "Seventeen Seconds" for Turntable Kitchen's Sounds Delicious series, and now we're making it available digitally so that it can reach a wider audience.

The quality of the interpretations here speak for themselves, but here's Frankie talking about tackling this album: "Since I already think it's a perfect record, I tried not to reinterpret too much and stick to similar sounds as the original, but with a twist. Working on it with Jorge Elbrecht was a dream, because he's the only person who’s as deep of a Cure fan as I am! And he's a damn wizard!" Together Frankie and Jorge have created something quite special, paying loving tribute to this well-loved album while still putting their own very contemporary stamp on the songs.

A record of contended mythical existence amongst fans of Euro cinema and rare jazz for decades this Polish only EP contains all four themes to Polanski's first-ever feature film Knife In The Water composed by unanimously beloved Polish pianist Krzysztof Komeda.  Featuring Roman Dylag (Bruno Spoerri’s Teddy Bär) and a radical inclusion of a Swedish trumpeter, the sought after Bernt Rosengren, this picture sleeve EP (complete with artwork from Polish poster legend Roslav Szaybo) is the only true existing companion piece to the other Komeda/Polanki soundtracks Cul De Sac and Rosemary's Baby released before his accidental death in April 1969.  Having worked alongside Don Cherry, Michel Urbaniak and Gato Barbieri while unwaned by the clutches of communism this important artist deserves due focus.

Unheard and unreleased for more than 30 years, the music of Rodion G.A. is a treasure. Rodion Rosca composed and recorded much of the music on an cobbled-together set-up of early drum machines, Tesla reel to reels, and live instruments. After sharing the electronic and bombastic <a href="https://soundcloud.com/strut/rodion-g-a-cantec-fulger-the">"Cantec Fulger"</a>, we're showing another side to his music with the haunting album closer "In Linistea Noptii."

<i>The Lost Tapes</i>, the first ever commercially released album of Rodion G.A.'s music, is due May 28th on Strut Records in association with Future Nuggets and Ambassador’s Reception.
