Here’s the set I played at Encapsulated Energy 3 last weekend and I just cannot put into words how great this night was! 


This was more than just a gig to me - it has to be up there with the most important moments of my life. 


I have wanted this moment since 1991. I grew up with this music and went to Storm's on Hastings pier just along from where EE3 was held, so the chance to play Oldskool-Rave in my home town with all my friends there was a dream come true, and if you think it sounds good here you really should have heard it at the pointy end of the Funktion One rig.


Unfortunately the Pre-Party wasn't recorded so as soon as I got back to The Retreat I ran through it again and here it is. Even better still there was a set free at 8pm and I was invited to have another go! This time Rob Kinetic and myself played b2b and we smashed it -  Electrofied were in the house! This set was also recorded and will follow shortly……

since a young lad ive been into music hip hop early house breaks and bleeps acid house .from a early age i was soaking up all kinds of music like a sponge .in early 1991 i had my first taste of raving at in my opinion is one the best clubs ever shelleys.and that was me hooked left right and centre following weekend off to sunny coventry to the eclipse shacking out the some of the uks best djs like SASHA TOP BUZZ DAZ WILLOTS CARL WILLIAMS PARKS AND WILSON to name a few then i had my first big ouydoor rave esp weekend world and many a fantazia and amnesia house and obsession and perception and  raindance and universe .

I like people who SMILE when they LISTEN to OLDSKOOL!!!

Goosebumps all the way.......... you can hear the excitement in your voices as the set builds and builds! Stu N has loved music since a very early age but it was with the dawn of rave that he found his true love! Living in Hastings with its legendary venue on the pier, he used to sit underneath to hear the new and excititng sounds coming from the ballroom, then in early 1991 he borrowed ID and got in and has never been quite the same since! 

The horns and hoovers of the euro breakbeat sound affected him to such and extent that even now in a quiet room it is all he can hear, better still he is back playing the music he loves (truly it never went away but now other people want to hear it as well)

However this doesn’t mean that Stu is not able to hold a crowd, he has always remained close to his roots by playing very occasionally at live events around the south coast. Most recently he's played at the now legendary 'Encapsulated Energy' parties in Hastings, alongside legends such as 'Jumping Jack Frost', Nebula II, LTJ Bukem and 'Shades of Rhythm' along with a single adventure to the mighty 'Labrynth - The Phoenix Rising' which was over the August Bank holiday in London.
