Moodena’s success over the last four years has been nothing short of prodigious. His rise to the top of both the digital and vinyl charts has all the hallmarks of a classic overnight success story. However, like the majority of such stories, he has in fact earned his disco stripes the hard way, through years of non-stop effort having worked in the electronic music industry for over 25 years.

"I recorded the mix live on 2 CDJS2000nx2 and a DJR400 mixer.  For this mix I wanted to incorporate a few different styles of house that I love, house that has funk, soul, jazz or disco elements. There are some classics, some new bits and some favourites of mine that I used to play on vinyl. I tried to build some energy as the mix progresses but always retain funk and groove elements that I love to play and listen too. Much love for having me, hope you enjoy x"

Enrique Jimenez aka Big Pack is the House Salad Music label boss based in Estado de Mexico, Mexico. He discovered his love for electronic music in the mid 90's when he attended house and techno parties with local DJs. From then on, his intimate love affair with house music began.

The sound of Chicago with labels like Cajual and Relief and Prescription brought him the most inspiration. His whole trajectory changed and music became his life. The task of discovering music became an infinite loop of collecting records. After 11 years of touring dance floors as a spectator and amateur DJ, in 2005 he acquired his first turntables, technics 1200s. When he finally felt he had an extensive vinyl collection, he decided to venture into the world of DJing professionally.

Now, with some years of experience, Big Pack has played in key clubs all over Mexico, opening for artists such as Kevin Saunderson, Kenny Larkin, Derrick Carter, Phil Weeks, Wally Callerio, Andrew Emil, JT Donaldson , Oliver Dollar, 1200 Warriors, to name a few. Out of Mexico, Big Pack has played in Canada, USA and Costa Rica

He is very busy with his radio show on Radio Webphre and his own podcast & label, House Salad Music, featuring the best DJs in house music.

Convinced of the timelessness of music, his mixes are a real tunnel of time, where he plays classics combined with the freshest of modern house.

We have been fans of Belgian producer @ucbeatz for a good while. He's a quality house producer whose work has found it's way onto Razor-N-Tape, Classic Music Company, 803 Crystal Grooves as well as releasing consistently on his own excellent Entrepôt Records label.

His latest EP see's him land on the hallowed ground of @heistrecordings with the Orchid's Wish EP, five tracks of quality house which also features the serious talents of Marina Trench and Tour-Maubourg.

To celebrate the release we asked him to put together a mix for our Selectors series. As you would expect it's a pretty spellbinding affair and perfectly tailored to the Le Visiteur readers, touching on all areas of quality house music.
