Stuart Forester is a Cumbrian born folksinger of the highest calibre. Not only an excellent songwriter, guitarist and singer, he plays a mean dulcimer. His album ‘A Yard of Ale’ was voted album of 2013 by Fish Records ahead of the likes of Martin Simpson and Chris Wood.

I love music. I was born into a musical family, and had one piano lesson as a child, but it was no fun and I gave up. 

As a teenager I played piano and guitar by ear. After twenty-five though, life got in the way.

In mid-life I rediscovered music, and I've been making up for lost time. "Music is enough for a lifetime but a lifetime is not enough for music", someone said.

Writing and collaboration are what I enjoy most now. As an amateur I write what I want to hear. But I hope you find something you enjoy. Thank you for listening.
