I'm a performance artist, a female illusionist, a drag queen...but whatever you call it, I am being me!

 Marita Bonita grew up listening to the pop divas of our time and was created out of their inspiration and creativity. Performing at a very young age, she has always found that the stage was were she belonged. When first discovering the world of drag and female illusion at age 13, she was bitten by the bug. Determined to take over the world with lipstick and glitter, she takes every opportunity to perform and entertain the audiences. 
 She currently is the host and reigning Miss Polo at Polo Club in Hartford, CT and has been performing there since 2004. You can usually find her there almost every Saturday. Aside from club events, Marita stays active in doing shows for the GLBT youth at college events and also helping with charities, especially those that benefit HIV/AIDS care.
