Since moving to Berlin in 2017, singer and songwriter Alias Error has been regularly writing, recording, performing, and touring with various bands and producers on the Berlin electronic and indie-pop music circuits. Working as a solo artist, she is also an integral part of a.s.o. music, a duo that releases mesmerizing downtempo, trip-hop and more. She hosts the monthly Deep Pop radio show on Refuge Worldwide, a mixed-genre show that encompasses everything from dream-pop, trip-hop, shoe-gaze, experimental, folk, indie pop, soundtracks – and anything else that could be considered waywardly pop, all influences that are more than apparent in her own beautiful work, balancing between comfort and discomfort, acceptance and resistance.

“Dispatches from the NYC underground: left field electronics, raw live cuts, unreleased gems and other oddities selected by the Lost Soul Enterprises crew and extended family, this week featuring vinyl mixes from NYC-based, Miami-grown FABiOLA and Lost Soul founder, DJ and producer R Gamble.

FABiOLA is a Miami-based DJ/producer with roots in Detroit, Michigan. Her sound is versatile + ‘cheeky’ - with depths of acid and bass. She digs deep into the archive of underground dance music, specifically electro, house, EBM/post-punk/industrial. Extra love for gated, sexy, disorienting vocals. FABiOLA developed an early taste for electronic music via Myspace/youtube and attended Detroit’s Movement festival. She later ran a music collective with friends at the University of Michigan (MEMCO), organizing workshops by day and parties by night. The Ann Arbor-Detroit connection lives on through association with Detroit label + party series Interdimensional Transmissions.


R Gamble is a producer, DJ, and performer based in New York City. Originally from Memphis, TN where he was reared on a strange delta concoction of garage synth-punk, low-fi rap and avant garde experimentation, in NYC he founded the party collective and label Lost Soul Enterprises in 2012. Today he continues to champion dark and weird sounds by DJing and performing live as a longtime resident of Good Room and The Lot Radio. R Gamble has released music on such labels as Mannequin, Public System Recordings, Primitive Languages, Black Lodge, Kraftjerkz, Sisters, Phormix, Fu.Me, Marguerite Records and KRI. He also makes retrofuturistic electro productions under the moniker Drakkar Noir, and is one half of industrial duo Fade Accompli along with Myn, and synth-pop duo Zeta Sect with Heidi Sabertooth.

The journey begins in the valley, where instinct guides the first steps. There is no plan, only a
feeling - to leave the car behind and follow the nearest path upwards. The trail leads through a forest drenched in moss, damp earth underfoot, and the quiet breath of pines shading the way.
It is a beginning wrapped in stillness, as if the mountain itself is waiting.

As the ascent grows steeper, the landscape opens little by little. Between the trees, sudden
windows of light reveal sweeping views of the surrounding hills, endless forests stretching
across the horizon. Each pause carries a sense of wonder, the climb itself becoming part of
the rhythm. The higher the path winds, the lighter the heart becomes, as though every step
pulls the spirit closer to something timeless.

Near the summit, a hidden cave emerges. From the outside, it seems small and unassuming - but inside, it unfolds into a vast, otherworldly chamber. Stalactites and stalagmites form silent sculptures, while the last glow of the setting sun pours through the entrance, bathing the stone in a magical light. It feels like stepping into a secret only nature can hold, a moment of awe suspended in time.

This EP carries those impressions into sound — the quiet beginning in the valley, the momentum of ascent, and the luminous mystery discovered at the peak. A translation of fleeting beauty into rhythm and tone, held like an echo of the mountain itself.

Rocío Portillo is an electronic music producer, DJ, and singer. She is also a brave, grateful, and conscious woman. Her full-time passion for music came after overcoming cancer, which made her hold on to life.

At 25, she obtained a degree in Social Communication and since then, she has worked in prominent media outlets in Mendoza. In 2024, after battling leukemia for five years and focusing on her recovery, she gave up her career as a journalist to dedicate herself solely to music for a while.

During the summer, a tour took her to the main electronic music stages across Argentina: Rosario, Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Córdoba, and Mar del Plata. Before that, with the help of an agent and her own promotion, she planned her first European tour, performing in cities across Spain, Italy, Germany, and France.

With an elegant and sober style, Rocío steadily advances as a leading female figure in electronic music. She proudly says she is part of the line-up of festivals where her own role models also perform: among others, Hernán Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Sasha or John Digweed.

Her mother’s encouragement, which led her to take singing, dance, theater, and piano lessons, along with the support of her father, a choir director, invited her to explore the possibilities of art and the diversity of music. In her performances, she combines original pieces with hybrid sets where she includes her own voice.
