Style Misia Is the Songwriter, Producer, and Emcee Making History in Hip Hop

A student of the rap game, Style MiSia has had a hand in some of hip hop’s best work and released bangers himself for fans worldwide.

Juan Ojeda Jr. grew up in the Eastside Long Beach where he developed his passion for music in The Bay Area (San Jose). As a child he was involved in music at a high level. From his first rap group, "Minds In Unison" while in church youth group, Juan was versed in DJing, rhyming, dancing, and producing, among other talents. Given his versatility in different styles, he was nicknamed “Messiah” as the deliverer of many "Styles," but upon entering the underground hip hop scene, he changed his name to, Style MiSia (Myself I Speak Intellectual Aspects).

Style MiSia drew on the musical roots inherited from his dad who was the lead guitarist/percussionist from his Latin Rock infused band from the 70’s and 80's. His love for the craft was further influenced by 90’s producers and artists like Jay Dee of Slum Village, Pete Rock, Easy Mo Bee, Hieroglyphics, Freestyle Fellowship and the Bay Area Underground Hip Hop sound. Soon, Style MiSia was making a name for himself with his Bay Area crew, Daysmen Empire. His name grew, attracting placement on upcoming icon, 50 Cent’s "Queens Pimp" track off one of his critically acclaimed DJ Whoo Kid mixtapes. From there, Style MiSia continued his reign, producing for the late Sean Price, Ras Kass, Equipto, Wordsworth (eMC), Planet Asia & Rasco, The Grouch, Mike Marshall, Mistah F.A.B, Rapper Big Pooh and most recently, Casual of Hieroglyphics for his single "Doing Me Wrong.”

Style MiSia’s sound had feeling, cinematic expression, a body of emotion inspired by his vibe or concept of artists he works with. Having left his mark as an Emcee, he recently released his 4th instrumental album, "Soul By The Pound" through his independently owned, Siavibe Music label. Across the 14 tracks are speaker blasting beats with the soulful cadence that made Style MiSia famous in the industry. Listeners subscribed to Siavibe Music’s Bandcamp will have one bonus track not found on any other streaming platform.
