Dub maker issu de la région nantaise, Javinz a avant tout suivi une formation de piano classique en conservatoire durant de nombreuses années avant de se mettre à composer lui-même dans les styles qu'il affectionne le plus. Après quelques années d'expérimentations sonores diverses, le dub s'est imposé de lui-même comme le socle de départ de ses compositions, ce qui ne l'empêche pas d'aller parfois puiser ses inspirations dans d'autres styles qu'il affectionne. 

Pour son premier album, Javinz débarque avec pas moins de 9 titres mélodiques et instrumentaux. "Les mondes d'après", album résolument éclectique, a été réalisé en grande partie durant cette année assez spéciale, période permettant d'imaginer ce que pourrait devenir notre futur. Et si ces morceaux correspondaient aux différents mondes d'après qui pourraient exister ? Et si c'était l'occasion pour nous de nous reconstruire ?

As a thank you for a wonderful Gaggalacka festival at the end of last summer, here comes the next musical journey for you: A Purple Playground. It consists of eleven tracks bringing you the feeling of the festival sound from noon until night plus three marvelous downbeat tracks as a soft and emotional closing. Many of the involved artists have already played at previous Gaggalacka parties and some promising new names have been chosen for this compilation. Enjoy this journey and hope to see you all again when the next Gaggalacka calls from the 5th to the 7th of September, 2014. For the next 12inch in the Lion’s Choice series we teamed up with Zulu Vibes from France for a rootikal treat prepared at their Alternative Corner Studio. It’s the manifestation of a unique musical meeting with the singer and player of instruments Prince Chamba and musician friends Macca Dread and Crucial Rob.
First the uptempo ‘Judgement Time’ in a rockers fashion, followed by a more laid-back, melodious roots excursion, ‘Conscious Way’, on the flip. Of course each with a dub version. All transferred to 1/2inch tape and mastered with care by Star Delta.

Trained Violin player and compulsive traveler, Sumac Dub has found in music a way to create unknown worlds that explores without limits.

The artist has drawn most of his inspiration through his various journeys in Asia and in Middle East. Enriched by multiple musical influences and largely influenced by the current electro dub scene, Sumac gave birth to its own dub in which harmony and power come together brilliantly.

Always armed with his violin, it is once on stage that the artist really comes to establish his identity in a real fusion of raw energy and mystical delicacy. Thrills guaranteed !
