In December 2018, anti-ICERD rally was sparked in response to government effort at that time to ratify the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.

However, it is clear that public discussions were dominated by misunderstandings. There was very little space for an open, rational discussion on all the critical matters raised. Moreover, public discussions and reactions were all too often politically driven.

In conjunction with the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination 2022 on 21st March, SUARAM would like to take this opportunity to do a podcast episode with Pusat KOMAS. It is to be noted that Pusat KOMAS will release Malaysia Racial Discrimination Report on the same date.
