Ahead of the much-anticipated launch of PnM All Stars Vol. 2, the follow up to the acclaimed first iteration that dropped at the start of 2020, we’re delighted to present the wonderfully cataclysmic first single from the compilation. Coming from none other than the Bristol-based “West Indian wheel up selecta” himself Formula, ‘Dragster’s Den’ combines a metric tonne of heaving bassweight, melodic magic and snappy percs that cut through the air like a razor-sharp cleaver, eviscerating everything in its path. A certified sick PnM debut from the young don, we’re so gassed to hear this on the club circuit now we’ve had somewhat of a return to normality!

This is a project we’re really proud of here at Pick ‘N’ Mix, and we can’t wait for you to hear it in full, with a slew of diverse singles unleashed in the run up to release day. As was showcased in all it’s glory on PnM All Stars Vol. 1, this is the future of DnB.

This massive single release is a two-sided banger that expertly parades the creativity and technical expertise of Archaea. Since his debut Daedra EP, Archaea has come in leaps and bounds,  perfecting his craft and developing his signature style full of twisted basses, scatty glitches and tight, intricate percussion. By no means an exception to his rule, this single release is testament to the Archaea sound; Urghh is an in-your-face number that  blends the lines between minimal and tech, with signature Archaea glitches accompanying in expert fashion. With the rollout of our flagship, encyclopedic new-gen project PnM All Stars Vol. 2 just over the horizon now, we’re super excited to unleash the second single from the compilation - young gun Elder’s diverse, tech-infused bouncer ‘Weird Tech’.

Representing his long-awaited debut here at Pick ‘N’ Mix, the Norwich-hailing beatsmith has really been making waves with his surefire penchant for euphoric, atmospheric drum & bass sonics, perfectly captured in all its mystic glory here. To boot, it’s safe to say this is his finest work thus far - the likes of ‘Cliff Edge’ w/ Tompa T & ‘Fear’ have showcased his willingness to fire out melodic yet bass-heavy stylings that come equipped with a real propensity for toe-tapping squallor, retrofitted with a volcanic heap of 174bpm goodness. As first appearances go, it’s a shining outing from the promising don, and we can promise much, much more of that from both Elder and the rest of the compilation.
