I met Erik briefly in San Francisco after Burning Man in 2017. He invited me to come check out a 'little gathering' called Rabbits that he and his mates were putting on. I didn't know it at the time, but the little gathering he was referring to was not quite as little as I'd envisioned based on his casual description :D

I ultimately didn't get along to Rabbits for another 2 years, when Kat and I cruised up to Cherrabah Resort for the 2019 edition.

It blew my mind. The production was out of this world! The flow of the party felt sensational. And the community? I'd never seen doofland partying so hard while keeping so cool. I was hooked.

I've been coming back to Rabbits ever since, including sharing a renegade set in 2021.

To be invited to not only play officially, but to open the absolutely phenomenal Waabooz stage - words can't express how stoked I was for the opportunity. It was fucking awesome fun. 

I wasn't sure what to expect given the early time slot, with most punters still arriving and many setting up/chillin' given the big trek from camp to stage. Thank you so much to those who came out and threw down! It means so much to me.

I'd be remiss not to mention that I'm aware of the portions of community who are feeling impacted and hurt by examples of Rabbits' poor communication with several artists (including a couple of close friends). I myself wasn't sure whether I was still going to be able to play. My messages sent via email and socials seeking clarification of certain details received no response. The lack of response is one thing, but the curt and insensitive eventual responses that some friends received definitely added to the hurt.

I appreciate the organisers were under tremendous pressure for lots of reasons, but be that as it may I hope they're able to meet some of the community disappointment with humility and sensitivity, and an intention to improve upon communication moving forwards.

Honourable mentions to a couple of absolute legends; Ziggy, Zad, Maxi, Jemma, everyone involved in the production, stage and lighting (holy fuck it was absolutely next level!) and everyone I partied with throughout the party. Rabbits 2025 is definitely one for the history books.

CIRQULAR celebrates 10th year anniversary "cirqulating" through he’s catalog delivering a deep experience in this mix presenting new and older productions with a sense of cohesiveness, sharing also exclusive versions for this special mix. Enjoy the cirQulation. CIRQULAR was started in 2015 by Demian Lara, a multi-genre producer from Mexico who has been releasing music non-stop since 1999. With a discography of over 230 tracks under various aliases, more than 70 of them as Ciqular, his work has reached audiences all around the globe.  Through his different projects, he has performed at festivals such as Astral Lights, Ometeotl, Kupuri, Promised Land, and Cosmic Convergence, as well as in clubs across more than 20 cities in around 10 countries—including Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Guatemala, the UK, Austria, Ecuador, the USA, Brazil, and the Czech Republic.  His name has grown steadily and intentionally, with releases on Australia’s Merkaba Music and several other labels. As Griffin Kloud, he has also produced remixes for Kaya Project, Globular, Mystic Grizzly, and Kalya Scintilla.

Over The Moon features ENCOUNTERS in this episode. Encounters, from Bay Area based producer Tyler Hovestadt, is a downtempo electronic project blending ambient, downtempo, and live percussion that seeks to find balance between organic musicality and electronic exploration. In August 2022, Encounters released his debut "A Path Beyond" followed by "A Path Beyond Remixed" in 2023, and “Circuit Breaks” in 2024 with “Veil of Echoes”, his first full length album, scheduled for release near the end of 2025. Encounters has performed electronic music festivals in Europe and America including appearances at Astronox, Infrasound and Stilldream, as well as supporting renowned artists such as Carbon Based Lifeforms, Bluetech, Desert Dwellers and Kaya Project. This "The Other Side" studio mix: "is about transitions: the quiet spaces between chapters, between clarity and confusion. It’s where I’ve found myself lately, in the fog, in the drift, somewhere in between. This mix weaves together new remixes and unreleased music from my upcoming album, Veil of Echoes; pieces that have been slowly taking shape over time. I hope these sounds offer you space to feel, reflect, or just breathe for a while."

Closing the Guya Guya (lake) Stage on Sunday at Dragon Dreaming was an absolute privilege and honour. The energy on that dancefloor was electric, and I felt completely lifted and connected after such a beautiful weekend.
