What an incredible honour it was to be asked to warm up for @BancodeGaia at his London album launch party at Oslo Hackney on Friday 27th September.

I first interviewed Banco de Gaia aka Toby Marks around 15 years ago – well before I even thought about starting to DJ myself – so I couldn't quite believe it when he remembered our interview and asked me to play for him!

It was a cold autumnal night in east London so I was super chuffed that such a lovely crew braved the elements to create a fantastic dancefloor ahead of Toby's awesome set to follow.

Banco de Gaia is Waiting: Warm-up set for Banco de Gaia's London album launch party

Music Forms presents PLAYAMAN in this episode. Playaman began his musical journey in 1997 in Bielsko-Biała, Poland, inspired by UK acid techno before embracing the sounds of Jungle, Dub, and Reggae. He co-founded the respected collectives Junglizm Ragga Crew and Respecta Kru, promoting underground broken-beat music across Poland. Through landmark events like Junglizm is Massive and Jungle Kingdom, he helped bring top international acts to Poland and launched Respecta Records, including a vinyl store and original releases. In 2008, Respecta Kru introduced the first official Jungle/Dubstep stage at major Polish reggae festivals. After years of managing cultural venues in Kraków, Playaman took a break in 2015 to focus on family and his new project — the Wyspowa Dolina agritourism farm in the Beskid Mountains. There, he returned to music with a new focus on psydub, psychill, and downtempo, launching the Wyspowa Bassowa gathering in 2019 — blending nature, music, and consciousness-raising workshops.

This Studio Mix crafted by SHWAMP is a journey of psychedelic textures in anticipation of his upcoming performance at Ozora. SHWAMP is the sonic project of Louis Ossiere, shaped by a journey inward and outward—into nature, self-reflection, and sound. Drawing deep inspiration from the serene landscapes of Eastern Taiwan and guided by Zen and Taoist philosophies, Shwamp channels a meditative flow that washes through his music. His work is rooted in emotional depth, minimalism, and intention—balancing organic instrumentation, real-world textures, and subtle rhythms that evolve with purpose. With a signature psychedelic touch, Shwamp creates music that invites stillness, reflection, and emotional release—guiding listeners through evolving states of mind and feeling.
