Making his return to the label in blistering fashion, Italian talent Ettore Pagani is joined by fellow countryman I.g.n.a., as they deliver their ‘Come Back’ EP. Boasting two originals and a remix from Midlands-based artist J Matin, the EP comes equipped from wall to wall with archetypal Libero goodness.

Leading the way, ‘Come Back’ wastes no time in unleashing the pounding low-frequency sub-bass that drives the track forward. Shuffled rhythm and offbeat percussive licks give it added flair and pave the way for its climatic transitions - setting the stage for some hard-hitting drops.

Delivering his impressive spin on the original, J Matin’s remix of the title track fuses a distinctive UK Deep Tech signature with that hypnotic Italo-groove. The subtle addition of rave-inspired sounds gives the remix an effective element of surprise, adding to the track’s already enjoyable combination of flow and character.

Completing the release, another robust roller in the form of ‘Wanna Be’. Again keen to get right into the action, the track exhibits upbeat gusto, tonal percussion and a captivating soulful vocal. Very much a track with a wave to hop on and ride from start to finish, it’s many peaks and troughs make it a memorable addition to any playlist and a real crowd-pleaser for peak-time dancefloors.

Our next EP comes from the German born, Jamaican raised DJ and producer Melanie Ribbe. Not new on the scene, Ribbe has been known for her distinctive sets since 2015 in Ibiza and worldwide. After honing her skills at the London Academy of Music Production, has since become a recurrent name in well-known labels such as Moon Harbour, Saved or VIVa MuSIC and has opened her own label Agape Muzik. Regarding her Roush debut, we can feel that her sound converges between the minimal grooves of techno and the muscular tech-house as she shows us on title cut 'Verghona', a vocal in Portuguese inspired upon living in Brazil. Next up, 'You Want Me' is a more deep composition where we can find a diva voice that gives an excellent touch to the EP. A bouncy two-notes bassline and some acid drops gives a nice low-end.
