Playground is releasing a very special compilation to celebrate nine years of life. A musical journey shared with dear friends, which expresses the living history of the label from its origins to the present. From the first illegal raves in Buenos Aires, to becoming an international artist's platform based in Barcelona. A long process of learning, growth and consolidation have passed. Nowadays, with an extensive catalog of more than 40 references Playground has a solid story to tell, always selecting an eclectic criterion and betting on diversity. Each launch reaffirms the commitment with an aesthetic freedom beyond any label.

The ‘9 Years Compilation’ faithfully expresses our history, but above all our present, always with an eye looking to the future. 15 new original tracks carefully chosen to create a polychromatic musical adventure, with diverse nuances and intensities. From downtempo songs to listen at home, through music inspired by the new wave, the creative force of the jungle, the power of organic elements and psychedelic experimentation to the most convincing music for the club.

Celebrating 9000 followers on the Feinstoff Soundcloud we have a contribution from Stockholm's very own rising star Marcus Christiansen. 

With inspiration taken from Musumeci, Phunkadelica and Multinotes, Marcus set out to make a track that would fit his friend's label Magenta, hence the track's name. With Marcus' signature, tom fills and driving bassline Magenta was supposed to be a hybrid between Italo and the deeper melodic side of house music.

Raised on computer games, science fiction and hockey anthems. It's no surprise that Marcus' music sounds the way it does. Playful melodies in a futuristic environment are presented in a big way—like an anthem is supposed to. 

Marcus' dj-sets could best be described as a retrospective journey into the future, taking on a lot of inspiration from the 80s and 90s with a strong focus on Italo, Dark Disco and EBM, as well as Synthwave and a hint of Trance.

Keep Tempo is a mysterious band with a love for 80s electronics and new wave. They float between gummy bass and analogue synths and hark back to a time when there was more artistry and musicality in the electronic scene. The lyrics bring another dreamy aspect full of hope and represent a freedom of expression that is all too rare while celebrating everyone for whoever they want to be.  

The opener of Keep Tempo’s two-tracker, 'I See You In The Movie With The Ghost’, is a brilliantly dreamy bit of electro driven by a sharp bassline. The vocals add layers of emotion as the slithering synths bring an air of cool, and distant pads add cosmic energy.  The superb remix from analogue-loving deep house head Deep88 brings more tape delay, lush vocal stabs and dubbed-out vocals that carry you away on a sublime groove. 

'Lost Control' is an uptempo party pumper with rolling drums that encourage you to let loose. New wave spirit and post-punk energy define the tight, snappy grooves and ensure plenty of fun on the 'floor as the deadpan vocals add another layer of intrigue.

Kiev is one of the oldest cities in the world. The city has gone from periods of greatness to periods of darkness which incidentally 
could be a similar way to describe this new ep by Kiev resident ID UA.
The title of the EP seems to have a fun connotation at first glance but don't be fooled by this, the moods are quite different and
change rapidly in this one.
Thomass Jackson then brings a squeaky acidic bassline to his remix of the title track which will surely be a perfect party starter.
