Due to its members being 2nd generation Chicagoans, Subatomico's sound is heavily influenced by iconic bands that emerged from Latin America and the US alike.  In their 15 year history Subatomico has solidified their status as one of the most active Latino rock bands in Chicago and they have shared the stage with many top billing international bands like Enanitos Verdes, Fobia, Aleks Syntek and Natalia Lafourcade just to name a few.  Their freshman LP release "Dolor Es Placer" received support from many local radio stations in the Midwest as well as commercial radio stations like Indie 103.1 FM and on select SBS/Univision stations. Subatomico's style and sound can be described as melancholy and "ever-evolving" but always grounded in alternative. 

Debido a que sus miembros son de Chicago de segunda generación, el sonido de Subatomico está fuertemente influenciado por bandas icónicas que surgieron tanto en América Latina como en los Estados Unidos. En sus 15 años de historia, Subatomico ha consolidado su estatus como una de las bandas de rock latino más activas en Chicago y han compartido escenario con muchas bandas internacionales de alto nivel como Enanitos Verdes, Fobia, Aleks Syntek y Natalia Lafourcade por nombrar solo algunas. Su primer LP, "Dolor Es Placer", recibió el apoyo de muchas estaciones de radio locales en el Medio Oeste, así como estaciones de radio comerciales como Indie 103.1 FM y estaciones SBS / Univision. El estilo y el sonido de Subatomico se pueden describir como melancólico y "en constante evolución", pero siempre fundamentado en alternativo.
