Hey fam, much love. Happy to release my first Breakbeat DJ Mix :) It was strange in that it came so naturally even though I'm brand spankin' new with explorin' this genre. Given that I started break dancing and Emcee'ing since 10-12 years old, it kinda makes sense. These are some fun producers. 

I added Jim Carrey Ace Ventura samples throughout, did some really weird & super-challenging tempo shifts, and named it "Breaks Ventura". The flow felt right.

NOTE: It's hella funny, I go out of my way to make sure I don't mix a producer more then once or twice to have diversity, but I'm still getting used to moving from DJ'ing with Ableton to my DDJ-RX3, so I promise I was trying my best to look at the names on the menu/screen and It turns out I haven't figured it out yet enough, cause I played way too many of certain producers lol. But I guess that's a good thing, check their music, they are amazing :). This was a freestyle

This song is dedicated to all the big cities around the world, and what first appeared to be so appealing about them, have turned into boredom and an everyday life with no glimpse of releafe, it seems. 

I love sharing this one with you guys here on Soundcloud. It's truly one of the great places for indie artists to be located!

The stress, the noise, the cheer, and the pain of commuting to work every day for an hour or so and waking up with a feeling that you need to perform, eventhough your not in that business at all.

What I like the most is this ongoing lie. People have about the suburbs and how they actually tell them selves that this is the way to live. It has a certain sadness over itself, and it's a kind of a roleplay that people play, but I really hate playing because it's not them, and it never was. 

That's what I've tried to capture within the lyrics of this song, especially if your not local but rather comes from the outside, trying to work your self up and being good for everyone else but yourself.

Most fail, a few succeeded, usually in the end it doesn't make much of a difference because you have stopped following your dreams and your own path in life, only to give in to a career that in the end, probably won't get you anywhere except to an office with a desk you don't want, in a skyscraper you don't like!

When you listen to this song, do me a favor and picture yourself standing on the sidewalk on an early morning, where their are silverclouds hanging above your head giving a few drops of rain as the morningrush is about to begin.
The big city can be chaos and harmony at the same time, it's truly in the eye of the beholder and regardless if you live there or if you're only visiting, to me it's an unpainted canvas or a lyric not yet been written! 
#music to me is what I see, because with that comes the words and with that the music and #art that follows.

Does it sound familiar? well, guess what, I've been there, so I know that feeling, and it sucks big time, and with the rain pouring down during the day, it's so obvious that you should leave and go back too where you came from, or to a house in the country somewhere.
#lonelyness is an I'llness that is current in all the big city's around the world. Take #newyork for example, there's like 8-9 million people and still many of them fell like there #alone, how's that possible I wonder.

This song can be found on all music platforms along with all my other stuff as well. I hope you enjoy it. The lyrics are the most important thing in this lofirock song. It's like a mix between lofi and college rock, so be prepared for a very alternative four minutes.

when it comes to gear, I have used a very old Valvedistortion pedal I have and my Tanglewood Les Paul guitar, both for rytmic and solo.
All of them with Dimarzio pickups and, of course, my all-time favorie amp, Blackstar ID-core 30 v 

That combo gives me exactly the sound I want for most recordings and live as well because the Blackstar is a very powerful little amp!
