Our 'Good Morning from ...' Guest Mix series will explore different artists from all around the world as they take us on a journey with their distinct and unique sounds that they'll showcase to represent their taste, surroundings and upbringing.

Today, we return to one of our most-visited locations in our Series, it's a pleasure to be back in Montréal alongside our latest storyteller @mikehaddad.

Take a trip with us to the French-speaking cultural capital of Canada, where we celebrate the Québécois way of life. To listen to his tale, we've decided to take a horse-drawn carriage ride around the cobblestone streets and grand buildings of Vieux-Montréal, giving us a European flavour in our mouths.

The Basilique Notre-Dame and the Plateau Mont-Royal district delights us as we listen to his story in a boutique café, whilst digging in to a massive plate of poutine... Good Morning from Montréal

Mike Haddad : Good Morning from Montréal

Release twenty-seven on Manjumasi comes from veteran producer Padre, aka Pete Lazonby. Baby Steps and Grand Gestures showcases five diverse tracks of deeply evocative music. Originally released on vinyl as a tight two-sided concept, the digital package now feature additional remixes from Powel and Floyd Lavine.

The Baby Steps open with the crystalline innocence of Jacob's Divine and conclude with the smooth primordial bubblings of Origin of Species. Padre's lucid style is revealed most of all in his collaborations with visionary vocalist and lyricist Oe. The voice is mixed loud and clear, in a more pop than underground way, underlining how unusually well it all fits together.

The Grand Gestures begin with the harnessed dark energy of Feed Your Eye. Sensuous chills and thrills continue with Thousand Fingers , and Last Dance completes the narrative in some romantic sci-fi ballroom. This collection is spirit led and formula free.

Viva Mexico!!! I am so grateful to be able to share the music I love with people in such an incredible new city. This was my first trip to San Miguel De Allende; a stunning historic city considered the heart of Mexico. In the Queen of Spain's horse stalls, the flickering of the revolution began, and generations later, the vibrant city is still celebrating. 
This set was played in a bright courtyard for over six hours to a beautiful crowd of new and old friends. It was an ethereal drifting vibe that slowly grew into a sweaty electric dance party. 
Thank you to Paul and Traction Sound (my favorite sound system I've ever played on) and to Pam, Sofia, Mariana and the rest of the Alchemist crew as well as the beautiful Amapoula Cafe. Te Amoo!!!

I’m an eclectic DJ based in Liverpool, UK, originally from Istanbul, Türkiye. My passion lies in blending melodic sounds across genres like deep house, tech house, melodic house, afro house, lo-fi, garage, downtempo, world music, disco, and soul.

Someone once described my sound as “trippy yet groovy” and I think that still sums it up pretty well.
