Introducing ‘Insanity’: one of the most highly fused and emotionally hard-hitting EPs ever to be delivered on Korsakov Music to date. An intense collaboration between the label bossman AL/SO and Sovryn (the young king previously known as Barely Royal) comprising powerful elements of rock, bass and good old-fashioned dancefloor, each of these three cuts stirs up something deep within… And they come from a very special place.

‘Fly’ was written by AL/SO during a very challenging and dark time in his life 10 years ago. Returning to it with good friend Sovryn (who introduced his new alias on Korsakov Music just weeks ago) and the talented souls of Tom Vernon and Marianna Ray, the end result is an emotional juggernaut that sizzles with urgency and feeling. This isn’t a banger. This isn’t a DJ weapon. This is a pure thoroughbred song that cuts through both the mix and heartstrings like a tungsten-tipped plectrum.

It’s backed by two more incendiary missives, both written with the same emotional pull and urgency between both acts: the halftime heaving ‘Insanity’ features more incredible guitar work from Tom Vernon and the frontmanship of Anjuna-approved Gid Sedgwick captures the tension of these turbulent 2020s with ferocity and fire. Last but not least ‘Torment’ brings this bounty together with peaktime energy. The bruiser you’ve been looking for all lockdown, this grand finale lives up to its name with every dynamic twist and turn from raging turbine tech to slamming 4x4s midway.
