With my LAYER mix, I wanted to manifest this and specifically chose music that I've played in warm-up sets over the last few years. By the end of the two hours, you should feel ready for a good dose of peak-time club music.

Dominik André is an active force in the Zurich music scene – as a DJ and with his genre-busting label Subject To Restrictions Discs. He is known for his unconventional selection and for creating deep and transcendent as well as ecstatic moments on dancefloors of Festivals and Clubs.

A decade on, a wide-scope vision has crystallized that blurs the lines of dance music. Always attracted by the weird and the unknown, Dominik André blends quirky techno with mutant trance, always immersed in a Wave and post-punk-inspired aesthetic.

As former resident at Club Zukunft, now regularly seen at Kauz Club, Kasheme and Stereo in his hometown of Zurich, he also got recognised outside the city. This has taken him to clubs such as Motel Campo in Geneva, Arkaoda in Istanbul, Astron in Athens, Klub Kegelbahn in Lucerne and to festivals like Am Bach, Lethargy, Electrosanne or Montreux Jazz.

He also shares his broad musical understanding on radio stations around the world. He currently hosts the monthly radio show Murky Rhythms Collide on Radio Raheem in Milan and has made guest appearances on radio stations including Rinse FM in London, Kiosk Radio in Brussels and the much-missed Red Light Radio in Amsterdam.

Besides his DJ career, Dominik André has a reputation for learning about and documenting electronic music and its scenes as a journalist and publicist. When he's not DJing, he takes care of the creative and administrative direction of his label Subject To Restrictions Discs. With more than 20 releases the label has established itself internationally as a place for 80s- and 90s-influenced music with cross-genre aspirations.

Subject To Restrictions Discs presents "Abisso" by Tagliabue. Inspired by the immeasurable depths of the abyss, the Milanese DJ and producer creates a dense and intense soundscape that evokes images of a submerged world of cosmic frequencies.

Prepare to dive into "Abisso", the latest sonic creation by the talented Joseph Tagliabue. An EP that defies the ordinary and captures attention from the very first moment, "Abisso" is a musical journey through four unreleased and completely different tracks. A1 explodes with the power of a half-time bomb, Joseph's trademark, while B1 amazes with a thrilling break that transforms into a progressive shaker perfect for the dancefloor. B2 restarts with another eruption of broken techno energy, and the EP closes with a post-peak-time electronic mantra that hypnotizes the listener in a suspended dimension. "Abisso" is a work that leaves no one indifferent, a sonic experience to be lived and carried away by.

Joseph Tagliabue has made a name for himself by releasing crystal clear, but no less grounded electronic music that is as contemporary as it gets. While combining elements of ambient and trance with experimental electronic techniques, he's able to blur genre-boundaries and offers refined, suggestive and always different emotions, without ever giving up his own musical identity. This can be heard in his releases for Sound Metaphors, Invisible Inc, Elephant Gait Music, Lustpoderosa and now on Subject To Restrictions Discs.

Saeko Killy is a Berlin-based DJ, vocalist, and producer. She has been active in the Tokyo scene as a DJ. After moving to Berlin in 2018 Saeko found herself in the orb of Club Sameheads, where she became known as a DJ and live performer. After releasing her first EP "Dancing Pikapika" with the label Chill Mountain from Osaka in 2021, followed a Jam session during the pandemic lockdown, resulting in the album 'Morphing Polaroids' produced by soFa elsewhere being released with Bureau B in 2023.

This compilation brings seven Swiss musicians from all over Switzerland together: Kombé, CCO, A-Alpha, NVST, Slow Glass, Rafael Kasma and L.D.R.. With its variety but consistency at the same time, this compilation could probably be seen as the blueprint of club music in Switzerland in the years 2020 / 2021.
