By now we have become used to sudden changes of direction; but we’d already gathered his real intentions following the popular remix of “Lonely Stars In Open Skies” on All Day I Dream with which Luca jump started 2014.

Now OVO, the eagerly awaited new Luca Bacchetti EP, is here!

With this work on his ENDLESS imprint, Luca seems to be delineating a new soundscape, maintaining the psychedelia he introduced into his productions a few years ago; but now more synthetic and in some ways even minimalist.
In OVO we can find a brace of dancefloor tracks, No Gravity and The Space Between Us, that maintain and harness Luca's emotional and intricate atmospheres whilst also employing powerful sounds and elements that embrace the movement of the body. Mature, emotional Techno, where ethereal dream-like atmospheres find a singular expression and their own distinct identity. It is no coincidence that the whole EP was recorded entirely high up in the Tosco Emiliano Apennines: a place where, for Luca, Nature is the element that most influences this new aural pathway. As he himself states: “It’s this contrast between isolated lands and the chaos of the big city that produces this state of being: a new dialogue. They are two worlds which overlap within my soul: when I’m in New York I think of these mountains and when I’m here I think of the bustle of tour life .. but it’s up here that I find the seed, in this case OVO.”

The beautiful ambient masterpiece, OVO, was recorded in December 2013 and features Stefano Onorati, jazz musician and long time friend of Luca. The 15 minute opus was then finished in April 2014 and now sees its unveiling.

The Swiss-born buraq is a DJ, music composer and producer based in Zurich, here making his 2nd outing on Steve Bug's Sub- lease Music.
The Untold EP dives straight into the good stuff - the title track is a juicy tech house rol- ler infused with years of experience of the dancefloor. buraq weaves together thick kicks, snappy percussion, deep chords and a sick bassline to create a fully essential tune.

'Unsaid' picks up the baton and runs with it - a taut groove ramps up the tension before melodic loops and a restless synth bring the track to full fruition.

'Unspoken' completes the triptych - another fully primed burner for the late night sessi- ons that balances a powerful groove with light touches.

Mar Dean - Come with Me EP // 

Coming in for a full on Hive Audio label debut after already contributing a track to our „Summer Slices Compilation 2018“ is Mar Dean, another long standing activist from the Swiss underground now aiming at international dancefloors with his „Come With Me EP“ release.

Opening with the title track „Come With Me“ Mar Dean approaches high energy Tech House in a truly uplifting fashion, draws inspiration from classic HardBag build-ups and finally triggers ecstatic crowd reaction with a rolling monster of a bassline accompanied by masterly crafted melodic elements in motion. A true banger with a slightly progressive twist.

Dealing with „Volcano Pigs“ we see Mar Dean coming from a slightly different angle, catering a stompy, well sculpted and defo more Techno-leaning foundation drumwise before opening things up with intricate melodic interplay and slightly dubbed out House stabs, hard filtered vocal samples and ghostly FX for spine-tingling moments on the dancefloor.

Teaming up with vocalist Nicole, Mar Dean is in for serious „Euphoria“ caused by hyper-harmonic, somewhat melancholia inducing chord progressions in combination with emotionally touching storytelling – all falling together to form the most beautiful electronic love song you've heard in ages.

Finally German producer Ron Flatter is in for a remix treatment, transforming and reshaping „Euphoria“ into a captivating, ever cascading Tech House anthem infused with huge harmonic basslines, angelic pads and a big portion of ravey, intense vibes for an ultimate peaktime takeoff.
