A core memory was playing secret garden in the grove this year.
This was so special and not just because it’s Shambhala, but because I felt so connected to myself and everyone around me in that moment in time.
The improvised nature of this set added to the beauty of it all. I just knew the feeling I wanted to invoke and left it open for exploration. 

3-430am…and it’s as if you can hear the morning light creeping in, exploring many style of music I love within. 
We just vibed out, gettin lost in the music together 🌀🩵 

Curating a space and playing the right music at the right time has always been so important to me and something I really cherish so thank you for feeling me, showing up and bringing the vibes 🫶.

Stepping up for Sublimix episode #148, Co-founder of streetwear brand and event production company; Swerve Supply Co. out of Calgary, Alberta, Jay one has a deep contribution to the North Western bass scene . Most recently coordinating the monthly Swerve Mix Series, his love for creating community around music is evident. Jay One grew up with roots in hip hop culture - carrying over to his trap flavoured style today. Heavily influenced by forward thinking bass music & rap lyrics, he rinses a wide range of genres including trap, hip hop, bass, dubstep, footwork & half time. Passionate and polished, his track selection is always mindfully curated to create an energy that is felt by all. Jay One puts the decks to work, moving through mixes at provocative velocities. His sets pop off as he manipulates tracks to keep you guessing. Gangster vocals layered on filthy baselines, he paints on the smooth spread.
