Denver's newest resident by way of Los Angeles, Chef Boyarbeatz offers a unique perspective on underground bass production. The Icon Collective grad earns recognition from both mainstream and underground production elites with his nostalgic take on heavy breaks and UK-inspired soundscapes.

With releases on a variety of notable labels including Deep Dark and Dangerous, Deadbeats, and Bassrush, Chef Boyarbeatz takes obscure sounds to new heights. Not only known for his production prowess, his unique DJ sets have captivated fans at every stop. The last two years have seen exponential growth for the project both in the studio and on stage. In 2022, his track "Steady Slurkin'" was voted the #1 dubstep song of the year, and landed him headlining dates across the country. The following year saw a surge in festival dates with breakout performances at Infrasound, Okeechobee, and Insomniac's Apocalypse. With support from Skream, Zeds Dead, Of The Trees, Ternion Sound, and many more, this year ushers in the dawn of Chef's hand-crafted curated lineups, major tour support for Boogie T, and more iconic festival appearances.

This program’s mission is to create a space for artists to tell their story. The BASSment has been a place for so many artists to feel free to play music they may not normally get to play out. During the interview segment the guest artist will get to talk about where they have come from, things they are working on and where they would like to see themselves going in the future.

"I wanted to use this mix as a good opportunity to rinse some different sounds I’m playing around with, as well as sharing some tunes that I’ve been digging recently. I did little to no planning on this one and sorta just went with a pretty freeform mix, so there should be a flavor for just about everyone in here. I’m really stoked on the chance to have a nice place to debut some of these tracks I’ve been sitting on (some upwards to a year or two!) to build a lil hype on them.

When Sublimate calls, I answer. This is my first mix in almost a year and I'm stoked its with the Sublimix series.  Last November I had the pleasure of playing my first US set at the Liquor store with the crew and I must say it was an excellent experience. The people, the vibe, the city, all top notch. Today, I put together a mix with some 130 stuff, then into 140, new exclusives from myself and some Canadian homies including, Taal Mala, Kline and Groves, ending with more footwork and halftime vibes, topped of with some new rap bits I've been feeling lately. This mix highlights allot of different vibes, echoing the diverse scene I experienced in Portland myself. I hear a lot of Sublimate homies are coming to Bass Coast this year, I look forward to seeing you all there!
