So, now and then I get the urge to go back and tweak past projects, over the past year I’ve done this with three of my Broken Robot tracks, ‘Activation’, ‘The Signal’ and more recently ‘Collective’ as I thought it’d be great to put some of the guitar by Stewart Colley on it that we recorded for the down tempo Origenic version.  Really excited to be able to share with you these three alternative versions of these tracks which I’ll be looking at releasing very soon.  I’m calling this the Renovated EP, which I’ll potentially be doing a volume 2 of if there’s enough enthusiasm for it.  Hope you enjoy!  John.

Re-Activation - Out Now!

Greetings folks...it has been actual years since I've uploaded anything here, so here we go!  Got super inspired by some liquid / neuro drum and bass styles and gave it a go with my own spin on it.  I'll give it a for real proper mixdown and set it free for release at some point, but for now I hope you'll enjoy.  This is the first solo track I've done in quite a while after being devoted primarily to our Birds of Paradise releases, thanks for your stellar love, support and patience over the years, it is truly appreciated.

Andy Faze is back this week with his smoking hot new jam Mirror Mirror. This track comes out of the gate with a staccato syncopated bassline that is really the driving force of this piece. In the mid-track breakdown a synth lead is introduced that builds to the drop and from there we are off to the races with glitches, reversed synth tones, and a galloping bassline that is set to keep the dance floor hopping.

Runner up in the Broken Robot Records Energy Vibration remix competition!

"The wait is over...Broken Robot can now announce the winners of the Energy Vibration remix competition!

We were blown away by the number of quality entries and choosing the winners was a painstakingly difficult process. Indeed, it was impossible to single out one winner overall so we've settled for three...

Track 1) French psy-breaks producer Peter Guildoux otherwise known as Martopeter's deep and broody take on the original really captivated our imagination.

Track 2) Richard Carigan aka Mouldy Soul has been making waves on the Glitch Hop scene of late, with tracks signed to Colony Productions and UK's Broken Records. His funky downbeat interpretation was the only Glitch Hop remix we recieved, but damn we like it!

Track 3) Rory Gordziejko aka Kwah is a new name on the UK psy-breaks scene, but is already turning a lot of heads with his quality productions. This slick, techy workout with it's winding psy-style bassline and super tight groove just oozes quality. Amazing stuff!
