I believe that music doesn't have to have one meaning or invoke one type of emotion. This song may mean something completely different to you than someone else, but here's my story behind this song if you're interested:

This song is about finally being able to breathe, finally getting rid of that parasite inside your head that caused those sleepless nights and days of just lying in bed thinking of the things that you wish you could've changed. This is that final realization that you can't keep living like this, and you're sick and tired of suffering. This is about that moment where you finally can let go and take back control of your life because there is so much more ahead of you. There is light at the end of the tunnel. I promise.

EP05 marks a shift in the ongoing project to merge bio-generated sounds with generative AI. Following observations from the previous EP that focused on the bassline, this installment elevates the "Music from Plants" audio clip to the forefront of the mix, utilizing it as the primary lead instrument to drive the narrative.

The Concept: The Plant Takes the Lead

This EP maintains the core sonic identity established in the project: the raw, organic input of "Clip 3," a dedicated UK 90s experimental minimal tech house aesthetic (124 BPM, Jomox Xbase 09 drums, Juno/Phatty synths, dry mix), and systematic harmonic variation.

The primary variable for EP04 VocoVeritas was positioning the plant audio in the mid-to-high frequency range, forcing the AI to develop melodic and rhythmic patterns around its unique timbre. We explored three distinct minor keys and selected those ones:
C# Minor / Db Minor , A Minor, B Minor

The Tracks & The Findings:

The four tracks explore the "emergent patterns" generated when the melodic component is prioritized in the prompt instructions:

C3_Lead_9 (C# Minor): An intense, peak-time track that showcases the aggressive potential of the C# Minor key when the lead is prominent.

C3_Lead_8 (C# Minor): A highly satisfactory variation under identical constraints, providing a robust, focused groove.

C3_Lead_3 (A Minor): The most accessible track on the EP, highlighting the functional, driving nature of the A Minor key in a tech house context.

C3_Lead_2 (B Minor): A deep and subtle track that uses B Minor to create a complex, evolving atmosphere.

Observations on the Creative Process

The results observed in EP05 provide strong evidence for the domain-driven methodology. Prompting the AI to use the audio clip as a lead instrument resulted in significantly higher satisfaction compared to forcing it into the lower frequencies as a bassline.
This finding suggests that the AI's models are better optimized for generating music when the melodic structure is clearly defined. The human creative intent—specifying the role of the sound within the frequency spectrum—is a critical factor in steering the AI toward successful and satisfying outcomes.
