This set is a retrospective mix gathered from tracks that have inspired and moved me over the last 10 years, mixed in a fashion that I can only describe as my own. 

Many DJ's fear overlap, mash and fusion for concern that they detract from the artists intention. Without meaning to sound pompous or derisive, my focus is on energy, dance floor energy. 

Movement, change, constant progress and opening new doors with every beat - a constant evolution of sound. 

My intention is to preserve the beating heart of the artists track, whilst embellishing with creative overlays and a sense of change.

Expect a constant evolution of vibrant, melodic and emotion-laden soundscapes.

Glenn Smith aka Sublym has a slant on composing DJ sets that derives from early 2000's trance and hard energy with earlier musical influences ranging from the brash aggression of Megadeth to the dark and gothic tones of The Cure.  His aural experience has been brought into the current sphere of tech, deep house and techno to create a driving, energising and emotional soundscape. 

His trademark sound has a focus on brooding basslines, haunting synth sections, sensual vocal hooks and ethereal backdrops all infused into an infectious techno and house beat.

A relative newcomer to the market and a passionate supporter of the underground music scene, Sublym has worked with Melbourne's Equal Dose and White Noise so far with his sights set on a future of entertaining and captivating audiences that share his love for electronic music.

With over twenty years of clubbing experience (having been through lots of different music scenes, from Punk/80’s Synth Electro Pop, Early House to the warehouse party scene in the 90’s and back to the House/Electro scene in the naughties!! The partying is finally over, however, Mus has kept his passion & following for the ever-changing genre of House Music.

Although, working full-time for a large Melbourne Based Menswear company as “Garment Designer/Engineer, Mus has found time, in the last 5 years, to learn the piano (with a basis in Jazz & blues scales) & study music theory, alongside with music production. Albeit, a huge learning curve, Mus decided to start his sideline career as artist name, “Muskat Project”, a studio based House Music producer with the odd DJ Set for special parties only. 

In a highly competitive & tough industry to break into, Muskat Project, managed to release an Electro House Track – “Tribal Sex” with British record label – “Deep Wave Recordings”. The track got a complete TRIBAL work over from DJ Darren James and is up to this day, one of the best sellers on the label. Muskat Project is still producing demos and sending them to various record labels for further future releases. 

In the meantime, Mus has put together “BASSment Records”, a digital record label, so that he can now release his own work & other up & coming DJ/Producers…the order of the day is bass-heavy, DISCO HOUSE music with a play on DEEP & DIRTY. BASSment Records intends to supply DJs around the world with music to play in a thumpin’ Disco House set or as warm-up/end of the night music for House Djs.  Listen to Muskat Project’s House style & you will notice that in most cases, the main hook from the track is the bass line – hence the label’s name. His first track, “Forever” has just been given a Digital Remix, adding ‘filthy’ Electro bass sounds & a Hip Hop influence in the middle section where the track breaks down. Perfect as a warm-up track for any House DJ with a funky or dirty disco/electro slant.

Luke Lawrence is the founder, co-producer and resident DJ of Melbourne-based events series, White Noise Music.

Having DJ’d for more than 10 years in clubs in and around Melbourne, Luke’s career in music began in mobile DJ’ing doing the hard yards at 21st birthdays, weddings and school formals.  Years later and it’s not only electronic music, but also promotions and the events business Luke is most passionate about.  Having partnered with Nina Paulus, the White Noise brand now brings monthly parties featuring national and international artists in clubs throughout the city.  

As a DJ, Luke has become known for showcasing the sort of emotional, harder-edged melodic house and techno also played by the likes of Fideles, ARTBAT, Solomun and Adriatique.  

In recent months, this experienced DJ has featured at festivals including Babylon, The Comfort Zone and Burning Seed.  He’s no stranger to the boards at New Guernica, Brown Alley, MyAeon and Killing Time.  Artists he’s supported have included Matt Sassari, Secret Cinema & Egbert, Budakid, Rafael Cerato and Animal Trainer.
