Orlando Solis also known as Submerge is an American electronic music producer and DJ from Chicago, and son of successful musician Jose Luis Napoleon Solis. The techno aficionado can now be found playing some of the world’s most renowned places such as Berlin’s Berghain, Spain’s Fabrik, Vienna’s Camera Club, Nature One, and Def-Con 1 festival. 

Known for running the label Impact Mechanics, Orlando Solis own productions can also be found on the pristine label Mote Evolver, After successfully touring Europe several times in 2010, his appearance has been in demand each and every year. 

Submerge’s technical knowledge has landed him an endorsement by the respectable company Allen and Heath and his knowledge of IT has also landed him work at the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Orlando also performs live under the alias Impact Mechanics and his music is being played by some of the biggest acts.

Manchester’s Cleric makes his Soma debut with the Twenty Fourteen EP. Having firmly stamped his name on the global Techno scene over the last few years on various labels and more recently is own CLERGY label, the young producer seeks to continue this run of form with this new 4 tracker. 

Cleric wastes no time with opening track ‘Nowhere Fast’ with it’s bone crushing percussive workouts leading the charge. The slightly more subtle Moxie picks up the baton. Bouncing rhythmic structures give way to a gentle pad midway through yet still retains a forward moving template. Dualistic Soul ups the tempo yet sees Cleric embarking on more of a journey - taking things from his punishing rhythms into more melodic territory. Closing out this debut Soma EP is Arctic Circle, it’s beginnings leaning on more sub heavy elements to create a dark and forceful track backed as usual with Cleric’s shifting rhythms. 

A great example of the new breed of UK Techno producers, Cleric is a welcome addition to the Soma roster.

Ein lauer Sommertag am See

Die Musik schließt dem Menschen ein unbekanntes Reich auf, eine Welt, die nichts gemein hat mit der äußeren Sinnenwelt, die ihn umgibt und in der er alle bestimmten Gefühle zurückläßt, um sich einer unaussprechlichen Sehnsucht hinzugeben.

Die Musikalische Richtung wird wie bisher ruhig,melodisch,emotional bei behalten ich denke mir ganz einfach das passt am besten zum hoffentlich bald einkehrenten Sommer!!
Wenn Part 1 online steht, liegt es einfach wieder nur an euch wann Part 2 veröffentlich wird!!

Spazieren gehen im Traumland part 1

Ich persönlich hätte es nie vermöglich gehalten, das ich dann doch nach so kurzer Zeit mich hin setzen kann um euch den versprochenen Part 2 vom Traumland präsentieren zu dürfen!!
Das Set ist aus ner schönen Laune herraus und an gedenken an nen schönen Abend auf dem Nico entstanden!! War nen geiler Abend :-))))
Ihr seit einfachmal der hammmmmmer schlecht hin und es kommt auch ab und an mal ne Träne die Wange runter gelaufen, wenn ich dran denke wie ihr  Musikliebhabenden Fans euch mein Musikalischen Stoff rein zieht und mit helft es nach draußen in die große Musikwelt zu tragen........seufz seufz!!

Counterweight started at the end of 2015 as a party-series in Munich (Rote Sonne). It was about pushing the style of techno we stand for and which we couldn’t find easily in our city. During this journey we’ve learnt a lot about what somehow sadly has to be called a business and we met many artists and people involved in the Techno Scene. We even made friends throughout the years and that’s one of the nicest things after all.

The first V.A. release on Counterweight is an installment with some excellent artists we met during this time, we love their music as much as we love them as a person. Four years ago we couldn’t even imagine we would release a record with some of our favourites artists … Now, check this out. Heavy Kick-Drums, destructive basslines, distorted hi-hats, mesmerising melodies and…lots of passion.
