Each week on Monday we send a link to a dropbox folder which contains a small selection of songs, excerpts of songs and samples that you can deconstruct, reconstruct and use as inspiration for a new piece of music or sound.

Compositions will need to be submitted to the submissions folder in Dropbox by Sunday at 20:00 GMT to be uploaded to the weekly playlist on this Soundcloud account.

The only rule is that you must use at least one sample that you have taken from the Dropbox 'Samples' folder in your production. Feel free to add your own instrumentation, samples, field recordings or whatever it is that floats your boat. The idea is just to create a weekly deadline by which to compose and produce a piece of music or sound, listen to creative ways that others have manipulated or gained inspiration by the samples and establish an encouraging, constructive environment to get feedback on your work. (Please note that if you create an absolute banger that you want to commercially release, you'll need to clear your samples first!)

Of course, all genres are welcome and diversity is encouraged. Please don't worry if your work is unfinished, raw or imperfect. It's all just a personal learning challenge whilst getting a sense of accomplishment for submitting a creative output on a weekly basis.
