My debut at @thenakedteaparty. It was a very special and personal journey for me that I cherish with all my heart.

In this most intimate of spaces, here I am, performing naked, surrounded by naked bodies, flowers and tea cups. And it feels beautifully vulnerable, heart-opening and so authentic. I am melting with joy. 

It was so touched by the lovely response of the participants of this beautiful one of a kind event and the seemingly effortless flow of the Naked Tea Party Festival. After my set I swam in the lake under the moonlight and I cried tears of joy for being so so lucky to be able to share my art in such wonderful spaces.

Dj, promotor y técnico en sistemas de sonido, su estilo se escucha con la potencia de la música electronica y la cadencia tropical de ritmos y melodías orgánicas.
Originario de Jalisco, emprende su carrera musical en México a finales de los 90 ́s, se dedico a seleccionar y editar tracks, descubriendo el movimiento de la NuCumbia y el TropicalBass samplea temas regionales y ritmos afro latinos incursiona como dj en bares, cantinas y pulquerías.
Desde el 2020 hasta la actualidad su carrera continua bajo el proyecto de XALISTEC, dando pie a la exploración en el mundo de la producción y edición de audio.
Promotor de espacios para productores y proyectos de música electronica nacional en la Bahia de Banderas y la Costa Alegre de México.

Israel Xal A.K.A. XALISTEC  @xalistec 

Dj, promoter and sound system technician, originally from Jalisco, began his musical career in Mexico in the late 90s, dedicating himself to selecting and editing tracks, discovering the NuCumbia and TropicalBass movement, he samples regional songs and Afro-Latin rhythms and ventures as a DJ in bars, cantinas and pulquerías.

Since 2020, his career continues under the XALISTEC project, giving rise to exploration in the world of audio production and editing, generating a style that is heard with the power of electronic music and the tropical cadence of rhythms and organic melodies.

As a promoter, he opens spaces for producers and national electronic music projects in Bahía de Banderas and the Costa Alegre of Mexico.

Cosmic Dance @ AOHXT  [Closing Odonien DDR 03.08.24]

This set has a purpose. It is a musical statement about what Downtempo used to be, and an ode to its origins. It is not supposed to make you dance like crazy. It should aid you when you wake up and the rain splashes on your window and you really do not want to get up. This is the soundtrack for your autumn.

Why? Story time!
Recently I was invited to an extraordinarily sweet chill rave in Paris, organized by the awesome @kida-paris and @mmartincostaa. I rediscovered why I had fallen in love with the Downtempo scene in the first place: music full of emotions, analog and organic sounds, deep rhythms made not for going crazy on the dance floor, but created for being immersed in sound, for becoming one with the sound and the crowd in an almost spiritual experience. Well, anyhow, this is what Downtempo can do to you. And now here is my own take on this experience. A collection of music that will lift you up on rainy mornings.

The more you feel the need to tell others what to do the more time you lose for finding out who you are and what’s your purpose. So focussing on your own path is always a good advice for everyone….

What is Cosmic Music Movement

It is about creating a safe space for all of us. Where we can be, who we are and express ourselves. All kinds of feelings and emotions and everything are accepted and welcome! We gather and express ourselves to music. Like in an ecstatic dance it is just about the music and during the time the music is playing we don’t talk. It is like a meditation, while dancing your as off. 

If presented live there is an opening ceremony where everybody can put his intentions into this dance and a Breath-work before we start a two hour music journey, that will take you literally everywhere. No rules, every kind of music and every kind of movement will be welcome - sometimes fast and loud, and sometimes slow and low, feminine and masculine energies changing. It will be a journey through all possible emotions.

If you are able to surrender to all the music that will be presented to you during the Cosmic Music Movement, by tuning into the frequency of people who like it, then you have a perfect training for life. If you can find joy in everything, you are perfectly able to surf the waves of life. Letting go of fear and welcoming trust and love. Remember you are just a shift of perception away from satisfaction, always! See what you have and be thankful for that, so abundance is created in your life instead of lack.

Nowhere Festival is one of a kind. After a few days of desert heat on the clock – not to forget the ubiquitous dust and sandstorms – there is nothing better than a deep-nighttime boogie full of absolute tunes! 🏜️

What a sesh: The entire desert d-floor was dancing like there was no tomorrow, and made it easy to grasp: This was a Garden Of Joy! Watching everyone lose themselves to groovy-heavy, psychedelic yet mystically driving Bush Techno from some of my favorite producers was pure bliss. 🪴

It was an absolute gift being able to play at multiple Sound Camps during this years' Nowhere Festival, and all just added to the great Nowhere experience for me which I am super grateful for. A big THANKS for the invite and making it possible to write magic memories in the desert – this truly was one for the books! 🌙
