At the very hub of this wheel which is falling apart, is Beauty. And it will keep on rolling until everything that has gone to make up the wheel has disintegrated. It has already rolled over a goodly portion of the globe, over Persia and India and China, and like a magnet it has attached to itself microscopic particles from Kurd, Baluchistan, Timbuktu, Somaliland, Angkor, Tierra del Fuego. The odalisques it has studded with malachite and jasper, their flesh veiled with a thousand eyes, perfumed eyes dipped in the sperm of whales. Wherever a breeze stirs there are breasts as cool as jelly, white pigeons come to flutter and rut in the ice-blue veins of the Himalayas. The wallpaper with which the men of science have covered the world of reality is falling to tatters. The grand whorehouse which they have made of life requires no decoration; it is essential only that the drains function adequately. Beauty, that feline beauty which has us by the balls all around the world, is finished. This is our anniversary compilation celebrating 7 years of Shango Records. Hi,
My new guest wizz comes from a really unusual place, in the middle of Siberia and so remote that the nearest ocean is thousands of kilometers away.  Yet, this special place has its own mini-Ocean : the Baikal Lake.  There’s not much doubt that this is by far the most special lake on this planet.  First of all, it’s so big (31000 sq kilometers) that my little home country would just fit into it.  More amazingly, at 1642 meters it’s by far the deepest lake on this world.  Still more amazingly, this is only the depth to the silty bottom of the lake as you would still need to drill a staggering 8,5 kilometers lower before you would reach the solid bottom of the lake.  Actually, most lakes only exist for a few thousands of years as they quickly fill up with silt, yet the Baikal Lake exists already for a whopping 35 million years, making it – by far – the oldest lake on the earth.  It is so vast that it contains 20% of all freshwater of this planet.  And on top of that, the water is so pure that at some places you can see the bottom from the surface when it is 40 meters deep.  This purity is also reflected in the appearance of the ice (which covers the lake in the Siberian winter), as it is perfectly transparent, despite the fact that the ice is thick enough to ride over it with a car (at your own risk though).
This place is so remote and so special, that we could call it ‘Middle-Earth’, a hidden landlocked continent which is cut off from the rest of the World by mountains, deserts, marshes and ice fields.  Some geologists even believe that the Baikal Lake will continue to grow bigger as the Asian continent is breaking up in two parts, and that over a few millions of years this Lake will grow into a real ocean…
Of course, all these mindboggling records have an effect on the spirit of the people who live near this lake, and they are among the proudest and most special people on this planet (also in part due to the fact that they are descendants of nomadic ancestors).  So for me it’s an incredible honor to welcome a guest wizz from this special place.  Or should I say ‘guest nomad’?

There are times when life brings droughts that blur the path to our true inner self. They leave us constantly looking at the floor when we most need to look around.
We can’t always be right and it goes without saying that it’s okay not to be. But in those times when everything seems like an endless desert and we believe the road won’t get any easier, we just have to have a little faith, because a simple rainy day may be enough to lead us to bloom, no matter how daunting the path may become.
It is enough to become aware of everything that happens within us and thus we will be liberated through the truth that our soul whispers to us. Our truth will flourish to show us the way we must continue.
At the end of the day, just a little rain is enough for a flower to bloom in the desert.
