SEAN & DEV are back from their SUB PHILO studio time in the Pacific Northwest with three very special tunes and a bounty of sick remixes that comprise the SWEET TALK EP.

First up is the titular track "SWEET TALK." Undulating loops build and fade culminating in lovely acid patterns and gentle stringed plucking. Add to this the fantastic LAST NIGHT I DREAMT OF MONSTERS house remix and a THRILLS dub-stepping/future garage/UK Funky remix which both prove undeniably that we are falling.

Next is the playful party jam opus "MAD LOVE." Classic vibes float through the ether as the bass and rhythm morph and become something very different yet organically of the whole. A dope couple of variations are also offered in the form of a quality remix by the up and coming producer NOJ and a tasty bit of housey/dubstep remix force from THRILLS.

Closing up the EP are the driving sounds of "TOO MANY SECRETS." Pleading horns and twinkly synth play off each other as echoed vocal snippets push you forth in search for the truth beyond the wall of secrets.

The cover of the SWEET TALK EP is the painting "HEALING MASK" by world renowned artist TOM GORMALLY. It effortlessly conveys the mixture of passion, whimsy and focus of the tracks.

Those who give a chance to the sweetness contained herein will undoubtedly succumb to the pull and name that force love. Get ready to hear some SWEET TALK.

Some people are afraid of things that go bump in the night. But what if that bump is funky, beat driven music that makes you want to jump up out of bed and face whatever lurks in the dark? That's what you come up against when you confront Last Night I Dreamt of Monsters. They consist of the unspeakable horror that nightmares are made of, yet entice you with disco house tracks that make you want to dance all night long.

The terror began in 2010 when producer Slade of Defunct! fame agreed to collaborate with vocalist Mr. M on a new dance music endeavor. Not content to go with the “run of the mill” sounds of normal house music, Mr. M and Slade went to the lab to produce the ultimate musical Frankenstein. By combining the capable production ability of Slade and the talented vocal skill of Mr. M, this duo were able to create something truly unique and fresh sounding, that was sure to catch the attention of even the most jaded of listeners. “We are trying to combine elements of Disco with a French Filter touch, and deep driving dance beats that make any floor ready to explode,” the fearsome duo states.

Last Night I Dreamt of Monsters have since collaborated with the likes of MC Messinian, producer Alex Mind, and IrawniQ of Flying Without Wingz. Now, ready to spread their nightmare to the masses, Last Night I Dreamt of Monsters is preparing to embark on touring and performing events across America.

SEAN & DEV's "SPLIFFLAM" from their 2010 "ALL ROADS LEAD TO THE FUTURE" progresses into new forms with Sub Philo Music's next release "SPLIFFLAM ~ THE REMIXES." Featuring friends from all over the world, along with some choice Seattle talent; the Artists all generously flex their muscles and give us something differently recollective to think about.

First out of the gate is the Alaskan native that Seattle is now lucky enough to call their own, ASTRONOMAR. His remix starts things out on the right foot: solid, yet wobbly. It takes the sounds in a different direction entirely and that direction feels on point. Classic minded with an experimental spirit - this retake is bound to drive boogie floors deep, deep crazy.

Next up is Sub Philo's head dude THRILLS bringing it old school house style. Adding a latin-y shake to the rhythm section and pushing the ol' sounds to a brand spanking new place. Psychedelic echos and percussion that won't let anyone off easy - this track takes you somewhere you want to go again and again. Lucky enough you know right where to find it. Another keeper from the SPMG honcho.

Going across the pond to Glasgow, U.K. - we meet up with the uber-talented JACE SYNTAX and his epic acidic journey to places aural, mental, and spiritual. For awhile now Jace has been on the radar of many top DJs as he releases track after great track for labels like Mark Ambrose's Crayon, UK's Mutate, Detroit's Soiree, and many others - this remix is no exception to the pattern set. Close your eyes and take the ride because the journey is the worthy destination.

From Scotland, we move to the SE of the U.S. as South Carolina's CULTURE PROPHET puts their spin on SPLIFFLAM and boy does it got flavor. Putting all the classic sounds of the original into a gentle blender and turning it into something very special - This is electro done right. Solid and playful, with just enough soul to know they mean it for keeps. We all profit from music like this.

Fearing this might get too northern hemisphere-centric, we fly down to NULL OBJECT's neighborhood in Lilyfield, Austrailia. Here the magic wizard of live analogue gear shows us how it's done. Created and recorded entirely live - using gear most producer's only wish they could get their hands on, we find out what we have been missing if we have not yet devoted ourselves to checking out every experimental nuance this singular producer puts up for our perusal.

Finally heading back to SEAN & DEV's home in the Pacific Northwest, Seattle's KID SMPL does us some dark post-dubstep as only he can. Atmospheric and moody: he pushes the envelope to places most fear to go. Testing the boundaries of rhythm, texture and groove - he makes the track familiar and alien at the same time. As he should.

The old idiom says variety is the spice of life. If so, this EP stands as 6 stars; but don't worry, it will always remain palatable as there is something here for everyone. And for many they will find an all you can eat buffet where you will continually discover something appetizing. Eat up. It's good for you. And by the way - rumor has it the wonderful original Sean & Dev track SPLIFFLAM will be released gratis to whet your appetite of this smorgasbord of brimming groove.
