Maai Records fires up the next release by inviting seven friends and fellow artists to provide a track each, building a family feel in the early days of the label. Heading up the release we have DJ Bowlcut, Rawdio, Rubinskee, Rassan, Vince Void, and Nørus & DJ Whipr Snirp.

Opener “Vibe” from DJ Bowlcut is a slink house track cruising on sweet melodies, and perfectly weighted drum work. Next on the agenda is “Energy” an aptly named track from, Rawdio, spreading a feel good vibe with this uplifting encounter. Rubinskee steps up to the plate with “Tei'' constructed with dusty old school drums, and emotional synth work drawing you in. Rassan delivers a house heater in the form of his track “Luv”, driven dance floor energy, continuously evolving into squelchy acid goodness.

Vince Void’s “Garros” is a slick rolling number from the get go, a rippling organ sets the scene for a playful lift off, accelerating out of the racing blocks. Closing the genre melding VA is Nørus & DJ Whipr Snirp. Their “Crystal Thief” track is over six minutes of pure class, pitched down electro and breaks at its finest. Melt in your mind acid spirals around clean drumwork, before a nostalgic retro synth brings the funk flavour.

Maai Records explores new terrains with this VA release, following on from a heavyweight inauguration of the label from Lis herself, the future looks bright for the young label as we move into the back end of 2021.

Alex Arnout, for those still do not know this iconic music selector from U.K., he started his DJ career in Spain, and in the humble surroundings of many a local bar. The nineties were spent learning the basic skills so often lacking in today's break-through 'DJs'. Eventually catching the ear of someone that mattered, Arnout began playing more familiar outposts like DC:10 and Pin Up in Ibiza, Dance Valley in Amsterdam and CircoLoco in London, for whom he has been resident for the last few years. This is just the beginning of more than 20 years of history. Following the success of last year’s Dance State EP, Berlin-based artist Revivis returns to his Santo Tomas label with Energy Ghosts—a tightly focused four-tracker built for peak-time dancefloors.

Leaning into stripped-back, percussive grooves, the EP takes cues from early 2000s and 2010s tech house, filtered through Revivis’s crisp, contemporary production style.

The release features three original tracks alongside a remix from in-demand Berlin- based DJ and producer Running Hot.
