Maai Records fires up the next release by inviting seven friends and fellow artists to provide a track each, building a family feel in the early days of the label. Heading up the release we have DJ Bowlcut, Rawdio, Rubinskee, Rassan, Vince Void, and Nørus & DJ Whipr Snirp.

Opener “Vibe” from DJ Bowlcut is a slink house track cruising on sweet melodies, and perfectly weighted drum work. Next on the agenda is “Energy” an aptly named track from, Rawdio, spreading a feel good vibe with this uplifting encounter. Rubinskee steps up to the plate with “Tei'' constructed with dusty old school drums, and emotional synth work drawing you in. Rassan delivers a house heater in the form of his track “Luv”, driven dance floor energy, continuously evolving into squelchy acid goodness.

Vince Void’s “Garros” is a slick rolling number from the get go, a rippling organ sets the scene for a playful lift off, accelerating out of the racing blocks. Closing the genre melding VA is Nørus & DJ Whipr Snirp. Their “Crystal Thief” track is over six minutes of pure class, pitched down electro and breaks at its finest. Melt in your mind acid spirals around clean drumwork, before a nostalgic retro synth brings the funk flavour.

Maai Records explores new terrains with this VA release, following on from a heavyweight inauguration of the label from Lis herself, the future looks bright for the young label as we move into the back end of 2021.

The first release on Sakskøbing's just founded sub-label RVZ is a four tracker by label affiliates as well as new faces, who contribute tracks from the "housier side of life". The B2 comes from label-debutant Peter LC, known for his productions on labels such as Small Great Things, Raw Soul or Discodelic Records, and is a musical homage to House music in all its facets. Let Me Tell You Something unites uplifting deep chords with a partly hypnotic-feel respectively a slightly (French)Filter-House note and classy spoken vocals to take listeners or dancefloor crowds on a trip through the genre by appealing to people's body, mind and soul. With Let Me Tell You Something Peter LC continues his streak of enchanting House Music penned the Berliner by choice and Italian by heart.

Alex Arnout, for those still do not know this iconic music selector from U.K., he started his DJ career in Spain, and in the humble surroundings of many a local bar. The nineties were spent learning the basic skills so often lacking in today's break-through 'DJs'. Eventually catching the ear of someone that mattered, Arnout began playing more familiar outposts like DC:10 and Pin Up in Ibiza, Dance Valley in Amsterdam and CircoLoco in London, for whom he has been resident for the last few years. This is just the beginning of more than 20 years of history. Higher Orbit is his last work, an EP including three original tracks, 'What I Mean', 'Aabstrkt Mind' and the main hit 'Higher Orbit' also remixed by the head-honcho of the imprint u z z v.
