Our Rhythm Radar has detected some unidentified frequencies for the first time since it’s installation.  Upon further investigation, we have traced these frequencies back to seasoned selector, Kerouac.

A name that is prevalent in the underground electronic scene for his colossal record collection, which he shared with the world through his Kerouac & Smile YouTube channel.  In addition to this, his exploits in the studio have turned many heads, resulting in releases on the labels of Gene On Earth & Bobby O’Donnell, as well as support from Brawther and the Slapfunk crew.

He has kindly prepared a mixtape for us which is soaked with nostalgia of the 90s rave era.  Enjoy!

Alex Arnout, for those still do not know this iconic music selector from U.K., he started his DJ career in Spain, and in the humble surroundings of many a local bar. The nineties were spent learning the basic skills so often lacking in today's break-through 'DJs'. Eventually catching the ear of someone that mattered, Arnout began playing more familiar outposts like DC:10 and Pin Up in Ibiza, Dance Valley in Amsterdam and CircoLoco in London, for whom he has been resident for the last few years. This is just the beginning of more than 20 years of history. Higher Orbit is his last work, an EP including three original tracks, 'What I Mean', 'Aabstrkt Mind' and the main hit 'Higher Orbit' also remixed by the head-honcho of the imprint u z z v.

Ten Fingerz is paying tribute to the roots of House Music and French House with his new 3-traker EP « Jeux de Mains » to be released on Frappé January 26th.

« Loopy B » opens the record on a very French Touch note : the parisian producer has chopped up a soulful brass and vocal sample, adding drums and compression to make it a dancefloor hit reminiscent of the late 90s french productions.
The second track called « Dizco Ztringz » explores the relation between the disco and house music sounds. 909-style drums are thumping over a disco infused string loop and a funky bassline, while the voice sample does the disco-era storytelling. Taking us somehwere between the Studio 54 and the Warehouse.
Finally « Our DNA » is built around an interview about house music production, adding layers to the track as the voice explains that the DNA of electronic music comes from the drums and the melody. A funky rhodes loop driving the track to its climax. Dancefloor-blasting material.
