"…Es el fin de la raza humana, la Tierra está a punto de ser destruida por haber alcanzado el límite de enfrentamientos a gran escala permitidos por el Consejo de la Galaxia. Los soldados de la armada real han llegado a la órbita del planeta y comienzan a descender a la superficie, las fuerzas humanas aún luchan por sobrevivir. Alexandrehia, es puesta en una nave de escape a la espera de la llegada de otros miembros de la resistencia. La destrucción comienza… Los humanos no son rivales para los ataques de la armada real, ¡ya es muy tarde! Alexandrehia observa impotente la destrucción de su mundo sin poder hacer nada, mientras la nave se eleva a toda velocidad. Un enorme destello iluminó el cielo, un estruendo que llego a cada rincón del planeta… La raza humana había sido destruida y su única sobreviviente se alejaba en una nave con dirección desconocida."

"Luego de varias semanas terrestres de viaje, la soledad y la tristeza comenzaron a afectar a Alexandrehia, el pasar tantas horas a solas en la sala del piano provocó que ella comenzara a generar dentro de su mente una especie de “segunda personalidad” -¿quizás un mecanismo de su cerebro para lidiar con la soledad?- 

Comenzó de a poco a hablar sola, hasta el punto de llegar a sentir la presencia de esta otra personalidad, la acompañaba en sus solitarios días, la veía en el reflejo de las ventanas, le daba apoyo, compañía y la hacía sentir bien consigo misma… ya no estaba sola. 

A medida que avanzaba el viaje, esta entidad comenzó a aparecer cada vez más, tanto que Alex ya estaba desasociando la realidad, dejando de comer y pasando prácticamente todo el tiempo en la habitación del piano. 

Luego de una profunda meditación (influenciada por un sueño en el cual pudo hablar con una proyección mental de su amado Quaeris), Alex se da cuenta que esta entidad, más que ayudarla, la estaba hundiendo, la estaba enfermando, su mente y su cuerpo estaban muy agotados y su estado emocional iba empeorando cada día… esta relación no le hacía bien, debía alejarse de ella.

Esta segunda personalidad… no podía salvarla."

"Alexandrehia comienza a recuperar su estabilidad emocional y a sentirse mejor consigo misma. Su “segunda personalidad” ha desaparecido y ella comienza a vivir en forma más norma. Empezó comunicarse más con la “Inteligencia Artificial”, con quien pasaba la mayor parte del tiempo ahora. 

Recorrían la nave juntos y hablan de diversos temas, Alex al tener conocimientos de tecnología, le llamaba mucho la atención el sistema mecánico que energiza a este autómata. El le enseñaba los distintos procesos y mecanismos de la Nave, y por un corto periodo de tiempo, Alex casi olvidó la destrucción de la tierra y el hecho de que era el último ser humano en el universo.

Todo iba relativamente bien, cuando de la nada, la nave comienza a fallar… Las luces ornamentales que cuelgan de los altos techos de las habitaciones de la nave se encienden y apagan intermitentemente, los controles de navegación ya no responden, Alexandrehia desesperada recorre la nave buscando a la Inteligencia Artificial. Más allá de la sala principal lo encontró: estaba en el suelo, desactivado, sus sistemas mecánicos detenidos y sin importar cuanto lo intento Alex, la Inteligencia Artificial ya no respondía…

Las luces principales se apagaron, solo el tono rojizo del sistema de iluminación de emergencia ilumina la nave ahora. El sonido de alarmas intermitentes advierten que los niveles de oxígeno están disminuyendo preocupantemente, el sistema de propulsión se ha desactivado, la nave se detuvo en medio del espacio y la temperatura ha empezado a descender. Alex comienza a ver cómo su pequeña estabilidad se destruye alrededor de ella, y todo indica… que su viaje terminó."

The Last Night of my life

"Alexandrehia aun duerme, ha transcurrido 168 horas terrestres desde el día del escape, los sensores de la cámara en donde Alex descansa, comienzan a indicar cambios bruscos en su actividad cerebral, arritmia cardíaca y ciertos movimientos corporales. 

Dentro de su mente, Alex viaja a una situación imaginaria, en la cual ella es testigo de su propia muerte debido a un accidente, puede observar como todos sus seres queridos, incluso su amado Quaeris, contemplan el lugar de la tragedia y se lamentan frente a su cuerpo sin vida. Todo esto genera una intensa reflexión y a la vez muchas dudas: ¿dónde se encuentra ella en estos momentos? ¿Porque están todos vivos luego de lo que sucedió en la tierra? ¿Fue toda la destrucción y el escape solo un horrible sueño? 

Alex decide acercarse al cadáver… al verlo se da cuenta… que no es ella…"

"Alexandrehia despertó finalmente. Abrió sus ojos y lo primero que vio fue un lugar desconocido… Un lugar grande, de estética victoriana, muchos adornos y muebles antiguos, contrastado por secciones con paneles metálicos y luces, por donde múltiples tubos y piezas mecánicas dejaban ver que aunque no lo pareciera a primera vista, se encontraba en una nave. Ruidos de pasos se acercan y Alex ve por primera vez a quien será su única compañía durante todo este viaje. 

Un autómata completamente mecánico, de rostro muy amable y vestimentas antiguas. “mi nombre es Inteligencia Artificial”-se presentó-, y explicó que el era el encargado de manejar los sistemas de la nave y a la vez acompañar a Alexandrehia en su viaje.

Alex sintió abruptamente como la amable presentación del autómata fue totalmente destruida por sus recuerdos de la destrucción de la tierra y el escape, una sensación de ahogo y desesperación la llevaron a levantarse de su cama e irracionalmente intentar alejarse del lugar, caminando aun en forma muy irregular, desorientada, afirmándose de las paredes, arrastrando su vestido por el piso, con cada paso comenzaba a sentir aún más el peso de la realidad sobre sus hombros. 

Al salir de su habitación llegó al salón principal de la nave, lleno de objetos antiguos restaurados, mucha ornamentación clásica, muros cubiertos de papel mural con motivos simétricos, candelabros llenos de detalles, espejos circulares, sillones de aspecto cómodo, y lo que más llamó su atención… un enorme piano de cola, aun en shock se acercó al piano y sentó frente a él.

A la izquierda del piano, había en enorme ventanal. Afuera, la maravillosa y ahora atemorizante imagen del espacio pasando lentamente frente a Alex. Atemorizante porque sirvió para recordar que la tierra había sido destruida, que se encontraba completamente sola, viajando por el espacio en dirección desconocida, y su única compañía era un autómata.

Alex se para frente al ventanal, poniendo sus manos en este. El frío del espacio aumentó peso de los recuerdos que finalmente la lograron derribar, la “Inteligencia Artificial” decide alejarse por el momento."
