'You're Back In 2020 MIX' is a collection of tracks mirroring peak-time COVID-era moods and tone. It was decided to publish these tracks as unedited, unmixed, and unmastered as an artist's phonographic memoir of this period.

Airtight moods mix with bluish tones, making fabricated recollection indistinguishable from morbid reality. Delving deep into alchemical models, the artist explores concepts of mass paranoia, the perpetual effect of the 'scroll'; a proto-invention of a tangible thought control system, and hinting at a substantial future collapse in modern human perception. All of this is expressed in tonalities that are easy for the initiated, leaving just a psychological trace of the conundrum.

Son of is a DJ & producer from Malta, based in Rotterdam, known for navigating the outer zones of Detroit Bass and Braindance Electro.

Founder of Digital Empathy Records and member of the Mood Systems Collective, his sound blends Detroit-influenced Electro, high-bpm experimental beats and Dubstep textures.

Releases like "No evil in me" and "Infinity to 1" reflect his philosophy of genre exploration over exploitation, often incorporating conceptual themes around AI, identity, and sonic dissonance.
