The first of many to producers to step up for our new series, Freesource, is Bristol-based producer, Sker. The aim is to promote quality music, primarily giving opportunities to underground musicians to get their music heard. Expect a range of different styles and sounds as this series is by no means limited to any particular genre!


The ambient soundscapes and mouthwatering textures Sker is known for feature heavily on his new track, Roads. The atmosphere is soothing and glides from section to section effortlessly featuring eerie vocals and deep pads with great use of reverb and delay in the breakdown before the final climax of the track brings you straight back to the irresistible late night summer vibe it echoes throughout. 

This track generates huge excitement for Sker's upcoming release, Open EP, which is due for release on March 14th by City By Night Records (who are part-run by Soular Order). Look out for a review of the EP coming soon!

Born from the nineties rave scene, Guesswerk began behind the decks at free raves in the early 2000s as a teenager and moved into the studio later on to begin his Dubstep guise and running independent label Imperial Audio. With a handful of digital release and two vinyl presses under his belt, one of which being on the renowned Boka imprint, he is back in the studio. After a brief hiatus Guesswerk has since debuted Glastonbury festival and is now focusing curating a live set and bringing a rave twist to his production style in 2023.
