Subspace Disturbance

In the far future, humanity discovers an ancient alien beacon in deep sub-space layers. Activated, it unveils a star map leading to distant galaxies. Explorers aboard the starship Interstellar, embark on a journey beyond known space, guided by pulsating rhythms and ethereal melodies. The captivating tune echoes their hopes and fears, resonating with the promise of new worlds and civilizations, weaving the future unknown into a cosmic adventure.

Interstellar Future

In the distant reaches of the multiverse, deep within the pulsating core of Subspace, a sudden eruption of energy began to form. Layer upon layer of aggressive melodies tore through the fabric of reality, creating waves of joy and exhilaration. As the rhythms built to a furious climax, the listeners could feel the surge of cosmic power flowing through them, a force that transcended time and space, leaving no room for escape, only for surrender to the pulse of the universe. The listeners are experiencing the Quantum Mechanics of the self matter an anti-matter particles materializing in pairs, escaping a massive black hole.

You know that moment on the dancefloor when everything just clicks?  Suddenly, you're not just dancing—you’re practically flying. it’s like the sounds just lifts you off your feet, pushing you higher, like you’re floating, totally weightless. You look around, and everyone else is in that same state, eyes closed, hands in the air, as if gravity is just… gone. It’s wild. The melody rises, and with each note, you feel lighter, more free, like nothing’s holding you down. For that moment, you’re somewhere else, somewhere you can only reach through music. It’s not just dancing; it’s like defying everything that’s meant to keep you grounded it's defying gravity!

First released on CD in 2000, this double album collected most of the seminal cuts of Mindfield from 994-1999, across several lineups.

Mindfield were at the centre of the Goa Trance explosion in London in the mid '90s, performing firstly all over the UK and eventually worldwide.
The original lineup paired studio heads Simon Carman & John Ford with proto scenesters Mark Allen & DJ Chrisbo. Mark & Chris were part of the influential Pagan party crew before Mark became resident DJ at Return To The Source - ground zero for the scene in London at the time.
Around '96 Chrisbo left to join Medicine Drum & Mark left to concentrate on RTTS & his burgeoning DJ career, leaving core members John & Simon to continue as Mindfield and concentrate on running their London based Phantasm & Psychic Deli imprints.

Sadly after a battle with leukaemia Simon died in 1997.. John enlisted his friend musician Ben Wilkin to the fold in '98 before taking the reins alone around 2000. He continues to perform live as Mindfiled & DJ as John Phantasm to the present day.
