DJ Jo started Djing in the late 1980s. In 1994, he produced his first own track: Space Harmony. This marked the begin of Fog Area Records. besides many other own productions, Jo also started publishing music by other artists there and developed a family of 12 record labels under the umbrella of Fog Area Productions. The labels and records gave distinction to the trance and hardtrance genre and became instant cult for DJs and fans around the world.

After nine years of successful work as DJ, producer and label manager, he went on and pursued other projects outside of the world of music. In 2015, after 12 years, DJ Jo finally breaks the silence and is back, and with him is the legendary Fog Area label.
