Ultimae is proud to announce the release of the LIGAND Remixes by Martin Nonstatic, an immersive puzzle - complex and distractive - shaped by various talented artists : Erot (Denmark), Floating Machine (Portugal), Roel Funcken (Netherlands), Scann-Tec (Russia), Miktek (Greece), AES Dana (France) and Martin himself (Austria).

The 7 tracks explore the emotive IDM and Dubby Tech fields with some incursions in cloudy Electronica. 

Every artist involved in this restructuring musical project endeavored to create brand new tracks - real tribute to the initial ones – with re-dreamt audio architectures and feelings.

Inspired by the unique landscapes and lights from the Ligurian region, « Serpentines & Valleys » presents several months of collaborative work between composers and producers, Martin Nonstatic (Martin Van Rossum, Netherlands) and Esko Barba (Marcel Montel, Sweden) - under their portmanteau moniker - Eskostatic.

This Road Trip album surfaces from pure Ambient Electronica to deliver undulating Downtempo, inviting curvy basslines and morphing cadences to meddle with crafty rhythms, airy pads and rich modular tweaks. 

« Serpentines & Valleys » is brimming with emotions, stirring melodies and lush soundscapes which reveal an inventive and mesmerizing tale.

The Egg, well known to festivals worldwide for their live
electronica meets jam band vibe, once again take on
Youth & Gaudi’s epic ‘Good Summer‘ with its deep bass line,
and add their own layered keyboards, drums, guitar &
brass section, making the track more DJ orientated to ensure
you’re rocking to the end & keeping the festival feeling strong!

Following their recent appearance and interview on BBC
honouring 50 yrs of Glastonbury Festival, the lads were
inspired to make a video animation to share and highlight
the ‘Pyramid Stage’ craziness and this in turn,
gave way for the creation of this Pyramid Mix.

It is with a passion that borders with stubbornness that Eddie A, running also under the name of ea or Eddie Allamand is evolving into music. Unconditional lover of trip-hop, abstract hip-hop and nu-jazz, the swiss producer and musician explores various styles and influences. Between 2011 and 2013, he self-released three albums based on a downtempo and melancholic-but-full-of-hope vibe, mixing organic and electronic elements with original instrumental lines and a touch of classical influences. In 2017, he founded the music label Diffract Records with the goal of releasing authentic projects by authentic artists coming from his area and beyond. The same year, he released his fourth album 'Quiet Understanding', a project composed on a lounge and ambient basis, drawing influences from trip-hop, electronica and world music. As well as his productions, his dj sets hover above different emotions and colors, alternating phases of introspection and sharing. Over the last years, he mixed at different festivals and venues in Switzerland, including Le Zoo, La Gravière, Les Docks, Hacienda, Weekend Au Bord de l'Eau Festival.. and sharing the stage with great artists like Doctor Flake, Christian Löffler, DeeB, Dser, idle, Sam Maryu, KDN & kreaem, Costals, DJ Madcap and many more. A nice amount of his mixes are findable online.
Expressing himself through many forms, Eddie A also likes to capture and edit videos to faithfully illustrate the universe of his music. He is highly active in the project edNbo aswell, delivering mixes and vinyl rips mostly with sounds from the early years of Trip-Hop to keep on the culture spreading through ages.
